Front Cargo Liner - Loose (My Fix)
I Have a 2010 Spyder RT -S SES Model
I have found the Front Cargo Liner which came supplied with my model can become loose at the top near where the service covers are
this is also where the 2 parts join up
I have now drilled some holes and used zip ties to help secure the liner
Please see photos to show how this looks - So far no more problems with Cargo Liner becoming loose
Hope this helps others

Question: are you securing the liner itself, or that top "gasket" that keeps the weather out?
-
have you had that out in any rain? It looks like water would get around the zip ties. Good idea though, on the RT I was using that thing came off every time I opened the frunk.

Didn't yours have the velcro that is usually at those locations to secure the liner?

That's odd, since the cargo liners all have this permanently attached to them. Perhaps the dealer just failed to remove the sticky backing to attach the mating half to the trunk flange.

that is likely but I don't know. I only had it for like 2 weeks. that would have made things nicer if the liner stayed in.

The liner and weather stripping have been a pain for me since the day I got the Spyder. If I pull my helmet out of the frunk often it will dislodge the stripping and lining. If I don't notice it and fix it before I close the frunck I have to turn the key hard to open it. The dislodged stripping puts extra pressure on the frunck latch.

I have found it is much better to use some 3M weather gasket glue every 4 0r 5 inches on the trunk weather strip to keep it from slipping off. Most auto parts stores have 3M on shelf. Be sure and read directions. I really do not use the trunk liner as it seems to make the trunk smaller.

I'd be concerned about water over the zip ties. The weather strip in mine came nearly completely off. I used silicone sealant to reset it, then gave it up as a bad job and bought a new strip from Spyderpops for $14. Great solution for my money; different design hasn't shown the same propensity for failure.
