Noise
I have a 2010 RT SM-5.
Recently I noted a noise in the front of the Spyder immediately after starting it. At first I thought something was wrong with the fan. Now I am convinced that a compressor of some type is making the noise. It does not last long. I do not hear it after I start riding the Spyder.
Any thoughts????

Maybe ask in th RT forums, does your version of the RT have air adjust suspension? Can't think of any other reason you would have a compressor, other than a mutli utility 12 volt compressor for tires or camping matresses? Are you the original owner?
In the twisties I was playing the tart...

Yes it does have an adjustable suspension... I am the original owner and have never heard it before. I am hard of hearing so it really has to be loud for me to hear it!

It is probably the compressor for the shocks. I can't say that I hear mine right after starting it but you will hear it quite a bit at low speeds. If you get a group of RTs together you will hear a chorus of compressors that is if they aren't drowned out by squealing brake pads.

Air compressor, If you hear it every time you start up it might not be holding air [slow leak] If I'm not mistaken there was a up date for that.
