I have had a GS, RS, and an RTS.
In spite of over $6K worth of touring accessories on each of the RS/GS bikes--IMO there is still a lot of difference between the RS and RTS. For the long haul, the RTS gives more comfort.
If you like snappy and sporty--the RS is the way to go.
