Geri and I are going to have to miss this trip, which is shaping up as an incredible gathering. So sorry, but we've been away so much this summer we feel we need to spend some time at home.

Bonnie and I will not be able to make it either. We are taking care of my Mom, who is recovering from back surgery.

I just replied to Ken Tompkins post about a route to take through Canada and he mentioned that he was going on the 3 lakes ride next weekend. I almost told him not to go next weekend because it wasn't until the following weekend. Well silly me I would have been there a week late. I was planning on the 19-21. Guess I better call the kennel and reschedule. The hotel is okay as I got Larry's room when he cancelled. Duh!

I was wondering why you checked the ferry schedule for the 21st!!! But I was tired and didn't catch it last night when we were chatting. Glad you caught it, I would have missed seeing you and Joe! --Paula

I need to do a practice pack...no trailer and just me...need to figure out where to put what. Then need to take it up to Caswell's for a once over (Butch says!) before the my trip. Finally get it all washed and shined before heading out to get it all full of road grime! 7 more days for me, I need a jump start to get there in time to cross the bridge with everyone....can't wait!

Hope you guys have good weather and a great trip. Went thru the UP twice last summer on the Spyder--- can never get tired of riding up there!
If you go thru Grand Marais, the Lake Superior Brewing Company has awesome pizza and good beer.....
Sunday when you guys are heading south--- let me know if any of you want to meet up for dinner somewhere .....would be nice to see you all (well -- maybe not Gene--- but the rest of you!)
Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

She should bring you down here to the STATE FAIR. Have fun with HID's. BTW, will be cruising thru your territory on the way to Flint next Thursday. Anything I should look out for. Some Guy is not on the loose up there, is he

I have three days to pack!!!! I just cleaned all Butch's junk out of the trunk (oh that rhymed) and cleaned it and put some of my stuff in there. Bought a cargo net/bungee (up at aerostich, Joe!) to hold the cover and my drysac for overnight. Got my licorice (road trip food), I'm almost ready!!!!! And I might have company on the trip, SpyderDeb and Pauly1 are thinking about joining me. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep the next few nights!

Someguy is indeed on the loose---- in more ways than one....
I could go to your state fair -- unlike Gene who has a court order against going to any fairs with live animals....

Well now
I have 2 days and a wake up-----off to the north country 3X3,
Last night I had trouble getting to sleep knowing I leave Wednesday morning.
Soooo I get out the RT and down the road we go at midnight.
Then it happened I hit a firefly then another and another. It felt so good I couldn't smile any bigger.
How satisfying and calming ----got home and went sound asleep.
"I feel good-----so good".
Sure would be nice to see someguy and 8legs--maybe dinner Sunday.
