I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

Although Canadian, When in England, Australia or the USA I must follow their laws, not Canadian Law.

As per US Law the flag pole must be firmly attached to the chassis of the vehicle. I am not sure that the licence plate frame would qualify. (http://www.legion.org/flag/code) and I just learned, never displayed between sunset and sunrise unless illuminated.

Default ISCI Tall Poles on the RT

I have the ISCI tall poles mounted on my 2012 RT Limited. While they are a great product and VERY well made, please DO NOT fly your flags at highway speeds for long distances or you stand a good chance of having them yank your license plate, and the flag poles themselves, right off the bike (don't ask me how I know). There are a couple of "wells" formed into the rear fender that form a flat spot on which the license plate is mounted. ISCI only provides washers that fit down inside this well (at least in my kit) when mounting the flag poles. The wind load at highways speeds WILL over time cause those washers to fracture the plastic fender -- to the point where the whole license plate / flag assembly is nearly falling off the bike. I almost lost mine on a Patriot Guard Ride but noticed it in time to remove the assembly myself and transport it all home before anything was actually lost or damaged. Spydercowboy (aka hogcowboy) fixed it by filling the two wells with water proof putty, letting it dry, drilling new holes, and using a plate on BOTH sides of the newly drilled putty (sort of made a sandwich -- license plate, ISCI bracket, plate, rear fender, putty, plate .... think you get the idea).

Now the assembly is SOLID ... but I still don't fly the flags at highway speed (at least not for very long); mostly used for parade or escort. The flags are furled and covered with a custom cover that I made when they are not being used for display.

    Best Regards ..... Ann

    Default Flag and Pole Size

    Cando ...

    • The poles measure 26" from mount point to tip.
    • The flags are as supplied, and recommended, by ISCI -- they are 10" by 15"

My initial post about possibly loosing the poles and license plate was from personal experience. Perhaps ISCI has updated the mount kit so it is no longer dependent on washers sitting inside the well of the rear fender. I just know that we had to beef up the support structure or stop using the ISCI poles.

I also thought of using that blank plug hole on the left rear side of the RT - was at J&P cycles today and saw some mounts but was sure if they would work on the blank plug hole...

and I noticed that that question was never answered in this thread.....

so does anyone know if http://www.rumblingpride.com/mm5/mer...ory_Code=TCM-K or this http://www.rumblingpride.com/mm5/mer..._Code=FLAG-ACC would work? or using some sort of mod (such as a large washer or something under the blank plug hole (which I assume is for the cb antenna kit) would work?
    1. it is what it is - 2014 Black RT-S - Baja Ron Anti-Sway bar, lots of LEDs, Spyderpops Skid Plate, Twisted Sister HID Driving Lights, Tricled 2nd, 3rd & 4th brake lights, F4 Customs vented windshield, Lamonster highway pegs, Ultimate Tall Boy seat, Utopia backrest

Default RIVCO Flag Holders for the RT

Just a last minute suggestion - our RIVCO Trunk Mounted Flag Holders should work for your RT, all respect to to other manufacturers and forum members. Thanks!

I have flown my American flag in the left antenna hole with a flag pole that my son made me on my 2012 and now my 2014 Spyder when one guy told me to move it to the right side. i asked why and he stated that on a Motorcycle when you put it on the kick stand then the left side flag would be lower then the right side, is why you have to have your flag on the right side of the bike. I reminded him that on a Spyder we do not place our bikes on the kick stand so the bike does not lean over to the left and drop the left side of the bike down. My flag is always at the highest position possible at all times. If anybody can come up with a reason I can not fly my American flag on the left side of my Spyder that makes since to me I will switch it but if not I will continue to happily fly it on the left side of my bike from now on.

Anyone seen a flag pole for an ST? I like to fly my Fat Crip flag (International Signal flag Foxtrot- "I am disabled; communicate with me"), but other than a 5' ATV whip, I've not seen anything.

Default Can Am RT Limited flags

i was just curious....can you use the antennas to mount flags?? If mounted at the bottom with clips similar to the Rivco mount, I would think this would work?

    Any thoughts??
