    Question Flag holder for RT

There is a hole on opposite side from radio antenna on my RT A&C. Do you think this flag holder would work in that hole?

Please remember that if you fly our Flag it needs to be either in the center or on the right side of the operator for proper display. So in that case I would agree with Doc.

    Smile Position of flag

Yes, I wondered about that. Wasn't sure if that was the case with a single flag but you answered the question. Thanks.

    Question Another option?

The RSCI is rather pricey. I've considered this for another option. Do you think the license plate holder is strong enough to support this type flag holder?

The ISCI may be pricey but it was made specifically for the RT. The one you show looks like the flag flies straight up which won't work on the RT as it will hit the rear trunk. The ISCI holder mounts the flag on the proper angle to give clearance needed for the trunk.

As per flag etiquitte, it can be flown from any position on the vehicle as long as its the tallest flag and no others are flown to the right side of it.

The new ISCI holders slant back nicely. The original ones were positioned straight up. Doc and I just recieved our new parts and the holders are great now. Many thanks to ISCI for the parts.

Really! That antenna flag holder is only $32. If flying the flag on the left side of the bike is acceptable, sounds like that would be the way to go. Thanks!

Left side is perfectly acceptable. Just can't fly another on the right side.

No, I do not believe so. The licence plate holder is designed to hold the llicence plate and is not strong enough to hold the flag.

As for US flags, as long as they are the highest on the vehicle, and no other flag is being displayed to the right of them, you are good to go. I deal with this a lot on the boat, traveling into foreign countries.

This was why I put the hitch on, and maybe someday I will put on a wiring harness and get a trailer.

Default RE: Flag holder for RT

Sorry about this folks, but I disagree about some of the above mentioned opinions regarding the placement of the USA flag on the rear of a motorcycle due to some very personal and private experiences
I have been active with the AMA, CMA, Blue Knights, GWTA, GWRRA, AmVetRiders, and ABATE for more than just a few years now. Each of these organizations have always suggested the following...
    Single flag:
The ideal placement of a single USA flag upon a motorcycle is
dead center at a rear regardless of vertical reference (how high or how
low it is mounted on the rear of the motorcycle). Mounting of a single
USA flag may also be placed on the right side of the motorcycle,
preferably the highest of all options. But it SHOULD NEVER be mounted
    on the left(clutch) side!
    Two flags:
The USA flag may be mounted on the rear of a motorcycle with any
    other flag providing that,
A: The USA flag is always mounted on the right side of the motorcycle and
B: The second flag must be mounted on the left side at an equal or less vertical height.
    Three flags:
When mounting Three flags to the rear of a motorcycle, and one of the three being a USA flag, the following should (read MUST) always be
    observed ...
A: The flag of the USA be placed dead center between the two on
    each side and
B: When ever possible the center mast should be at least ten percent
taller in height than the other two.

I lost five very good and dear friends on 9/11.

Stand tall, stand proud, stand in honor.

I purchased the ISCI dual flag holder (tall version) for my RT at SpyderFest 2011. Comes with American and SpyderFest flags. I will sell mine for $75 + shipping (US 48 states only) to anyone interested. I will accept PayPal. Drop me a PM if interested.

Okay, so I went web wading on flag protocol. Found a great pdf file at the site of RIDERSof WASHINGTON STATE that seems to address the concerns here. http://pgrofwa.org/2-Flag%20Display%...s-Vehicles.pdf

Or better yet, from the American Legion of Montana. http://www.mtlegion.org/resources/mspflagmanual.pdf
