Spyders in the Adirondacks
We met Doc, Forest & Wacky Dan Friday morning in lake Placid, NY. We all rode together for the day in the rain and had a GREAT time. We went up to Roberts Sports center in Malone in the morning so Doc & Forest could get an oil change, some good free hot dogs & burgers at the dealers and a new rain suit for Forest. From there we rode to the other Robers sports in Lake Placid for some more dogs & burgers and tee shirts. From here we continued on the poker run to get more poker chips to turn in at the Mohawk Casino on Sat. We were able to get six more stops in before darkness started to set in. At this point we went back to Doc's & Forest's hotel resturant overlooking beautiful Lake Placid for a couple drinks and snacks. On Sat morning we met at HoJo's at 8:30 AM and rode together up to the Mohawk Casino in Akwesanse, NY to complete the Rally. At about 2:00 o'clock the boys had their coffee an off they rode to california. Boy-O- Boy let me tell you these Florida Express boys don't let any grass grow under their wheels.

The boys are eating dinner near Joliet Illinois after about a 7 hour sleep break. Their spirits are great! They sound revived and ready to get back on the road around 8:00 pm after suffering from extreme Midwest heat temps today. Forrest said he's happier with his '11 RTS than he ever was with his '08 or his '10. It's great to hear Forrest happy with his Spyder!! It speaks volume for the 2011 RTS. I'll update as I hear more.

Docs idiotic ride
I was always taught as a good biker to NEVER LEAVE ANYONE BEHIND. I think it is most disgusting that an event would take over a friend, letting Forest ride in the desert at night alone. Shame Shame.
A spyder is a fun machine, if someone wants to torture it, then just go out and smash it. It was not meant to take the beating that Doc and Forest are putting it through. I do not see anyone else responding about this disgusting ordeal. I would never put our spyder thru that or a friend. I think someone needs a shrink.

Dave, We were on a short vacation and we missed some threads. I noticed that Doc's bike is still in the Reno area, did he blow an engine or something. After reading the other threads, I take it that Forest is not with him, where is he?? is he planing to finish the ride alone??

Will update later today when I have some firmer info.
How do these bumps in the road affect the Aug 27/28 speed runs at Bonneville? Seth, if you are lurking, are you still planning to run at B'ville?
If no one is going to be there I'll need to change my plans and cancel reservations.

LEG 3 BEGINS SOON
Doc and Forrest are at Corbins for some additions to thier spyders. Doc will fly home later today and Forrest will head out tomorrow, with the SPOT running for a relaxed trip home. Anyone want to head in that direction to meet up with him?

I just got off the phone with Forrest and kudo's to the old fart. I honestly thought he'd turn around and come home after NY. In fact I had told him prior to the trip that was my prediction. His spirits are great and he's preparing mentally for the third leg of the ryde. God's speed home my friend and be safe!

I believe he has settled on 10 east, which is a real boring ryde to me. Maybe 40, but its his choice.

I guess he decided to stop and play some poker. Actually, he is near Bakersfield on I5 and the Spot wont connect to his phone. He left this morning from Hollister.
