Forrest, you are amazing. You are four years older than I am and I can not imagine taking a trip like this. There is a big difference between what I do, which is to run lots of miles over the course of a year, and what you do, which is to run an average of 65 miles per hour for 24, 36, or 48 hours. What I do is easy. It only requires lots of free time. What you do is extremely difficult. I could not do what you do.
There should be a new iron butt category for you guys.

Thank you for the compliment... Not sure about the 65mph average.. Fuel consumption is high at 90 or so.
That is what I am told.
I do hope that others will join the spyder triangle. It is a ride that I am sure will almost equate to the G&G 9,000 ride, and I think will be more fun.

Forrest, that should be just about enough miles for you to trade in the RTS. What color are you going to get next? :-) :-) :-)

Yes, did that in 2009: Jacksonville Beach FL to Ocean Beach CA in 47 hours with 1,500 miles/24 hours included.

Great, now if they can do NASCAR style oil changes, we will have it made.

Doc, you still going to make Bonneville for the August 27 and 28 runs?
-
Safe travels to you all! Look forward to tracking the trip and updates. To average 65 mph you will probably need to run 80 mph? Drive careful now, ya hear
P.S. Maybe some magic 60 tooth sprockets are the secret?

...If I win the lottery befor then. WOW

Not going to make the trip! My oldest son scheduled his leave for the 2 weeks that this trip is for. He has wanted to go to Wheels Through Time so we (both sons) are going to do it next week.
Got to spend as much time with the Army Tanker when I can, never know when he will get sent back across the pond. He is stationed at Ft. Hood now but is subject to leave anytime due to his status.
Would have been fun, family first!

Holy CrapThat's 7600mi in 5 days or 1520mi/day. That's like 5 iron butts in 5 days. I don't see how that could be possible and still be viable. That's about three times as much riding as I like to do in a day.
We can discuss this further at SITA (Spyders in the Adirondacks).

I'll let you know what they look like after they arrive in Eureka for Spyders in the Redwoods. I'll make sure I post a picture or two.
