OMG Kat. Maybe we could do a staging in Napa for the final leg to Eureka. Any idea what the lodging is like up there?

Tons of lodging in Eureka and nearby. We will probably head up Sunday to get things ready. This is still in it's infancy.

West Coast Event
Greetings from Chandler, AZ. I have been an '09 SE5 owner since March 2010. I would definitely be interested in a West Coast event. So far I have not attended any kind of Spyder Event. Please keep me informed.
Mods so far... Trunk Liner, Fog Lamps, Evo Sway Bar, Evo 02 Modifier, K&N Air Filter, CanAm Seat Upgrade, Tank Bag, CalSci Windshield, CanAm Billet Handlebar inserts, Grip Puppies & Yoshi Pipe.
Should I send you folks my contact info?

We rode down to Hollywood for the annual owners event in 2009, a mere 400ish miles which was no problem for us. I was very encouraged by how we handled it and thought it a good practice for our big trip in September '09 across the country.
We rode roughly 6200 miles from home to as far as Gatlinburg, TN and back in a 19 day period but on just one Spyder so we switched back and forth. It was tough and there were days that we were really tired but we got through it. It was our first time being out that far for that long and I know if we did it again it would be better. Our biggest obstacles were rain and cold.
This past year we rode our (now two) Spyders down to Arizona for just over a week. This trip turned out to be 2400 miles each from SF Bay Area to Sedona, AZ then down to Phoenix, then across to extreme Southern CA and then back home. This time around our biggest obstacles were wind and heat.
How far would you have to travel to get to our event this year?
Geoff.

Heading to the Redwoods from the Portland/Vanc area
Sounds good! For those north/northeast of Portland, great idea to hook up and head south together. As the time gets closer and Spydergirl has a plan put together, lets talk about joining up and heading down 101 south, maybe?

Just to update everyone.... we are getting the committee together now. We even have a website up (although there isn't much there in regards to the event). Once we have more concrete stuff to post up, it'll be there.
The website is www.spydersintheredwoods.com.

I keep seeing the statement, keep your eyes peeled. So I got out my trusty needlenose plyers and as I started to peel my eyes, Moabgirl ran screaming at me yelling what are you doing? So I guess I will just watch the thread.

There are lots of terrific campgrounds in the redwoods too (reserve EARLY).
Crater Lake also offers a loop down the back to 97 -Klamath Falls -Weed - then either back to the coast through Redding, or South via I5 or 395. All nice rides that I've done many times.

I already have it on my summer calendar. I'm hoping to be one of many vendors to show up and support a new West Coast rally.
Ride in comfort,

My wife scheduled her vacation for this. I'll be on a 6 month vacation twice a year schedule. Just need to make motel reservations and ryde. Good job Kat.
