Question West Coast Spyder Event... interested??

We are in the first stage of trying to plan an annual event for Spyder owners on the west coast which would be the first week in August. I am curious to see how many would be interested in attending an event similar to Spyders in the Smokies that would take place in the redwoods on the northern California coast?

The initial thought is on a three day event which would include a ride through Avenue of the Giants and the drive-thru tree.

Please let me know if you would be interested in attending and/or if you have any ideas on what you would like to see at an event like this.

I am open to any and all ideas. Thanks all!!

Great to hear John! And since this is quite an undertaking for my husband and I, there would be no way to make it successful without the help and support of all SpyderLovers!

I am open to any an all ideas that you may have, and if you are local, please contact me if you think you can help.

Sponsorship would also be very helpful and I would like to make this event as successful as Spyders in the Smokies, the BRP owners event, and Spyderfest.

I'm in SpyderGirl. Deb and I have been wanting to make that ride up the coast and just haven't gotten to it yet. This could force my hand. We will be ready to go when you get the wrinkles worked out.

The dates are planned for August 3rd - 5th, but if there is enough interest I may consider expanding it by a day. As for it being a SpyderLovers event, not officially, but I don't see why SpyderLovers cannot be involved. I love all my fellow SpyderLovers and this site. And it's going to take a whole bunch of SpyderLovers to make it successful.

Glad to hear there is a lot of interest. I guess I'm going to move forward with the planning.

Keep your eyes open on the boards and if you're on Facebook, look me up.
If you are talking August of this year, I would say we are not going to make it. One big vacation this year is about all we will be able to do and we are committed to Cuba. If you do this annually though, I know we would love to get out that way for a nice ride.

Yes, August 2011. I understand that there will be those who will not be able to make it. I plan on making this an annual event. I hope my husband and I can make it successful. The first year might be rocky... but who cares.... beautiful scenery, Spyders, friends... what more could one ask for?
