All of those great features, but no Bluetooth connection. Must be saving that upgrade for version 2.

Love this idea also. Big draw back, it's not bluetooth capable. Would provide great competition for Garmin.

I read somewhere that bluetooth was an option but I can't fine it now.

Nice idea--- and I'm sure in the future these kinds of devices will get better.
One thing I'd like to see is speed limit warnings.... adjustable so the rider can select '5mph over' for example-- so that you get a warning when you're going 5 over (or whatever you set) the speed limit.
Would be really handy for those areas where quick changes to speed limits happen. I've only found one GPS unit on the market that can do this kind of thing.
Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Bluetooth and Radar Detectors dont mix well due to the connection delay. (Ever notice when your phone rings and you have your BT ear bud in it does not beep till the second ring?) You would already be caught before you heard the warning. Now, if you were already listening to music or whatever then you would already be past that delay but I would not trust it 100%
Give me loud noises and flashing lights ....... Looks like a nice unit though. All I need is an earphone jack .....

The biggest problem of all is the radar detector. How many states are they legal in ? You won't be able to use them or have them out in Canada. More head aches than worth. Could be a very expensive unit after paying fines. Not easy to take down and hide on a motorcycle. Good idea though.

Here is the info:
Radar detector laws by state
The use of a radar detector in a passenger vehicle is legal in all states with the exception of Virginia, Washington DC. and while on military bases.
In Canada, the only three provinces that allow their use are Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Many overseas countries also ban their use, such as Portugal, Finland and Spain.
In areas that radar detectors are illegal, law enforcement use a device called the Spectre that is able to detect the use of radar detector in your car or truck. For more information on the Spectre, click here.
Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.

Good info-- but Radar Jammers are illegal EVERYWHERE in the USA --- BIG fines and prison time for them.
Laser is totally different--- just turn it off in states where it's illegal. Illinois will confiscate the unit AND the vehicle.

Laser jammers - There are no Federal laws against the transmission of infrared light. Therefore, laser jammers are legal in every state except while on a military base, in a commercial vehicle weighing over 10,000 pounds or where they have specifically been banned. Please see the list below for states that have banned the use of jammers.
States that have Banned the use of all jammers
California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Washington DC

Funny, my wife said the same exact thing when I showed her this unit.

Another Choice....
Here is an excellent radar/laser detector designed especially for motorcycles.. meaning it's water proof and has large buttons to access functions when you are wearing gloves. Here's their website: http://www.adaptivtechnologies.com/gear/
Take a look. It has excellent detection qualities and a unique visual alerting feature as well as sound alert. The vusual alert will get your attention without sound. You can see in my personal installation that the visual alert 3 leds are aimed directly at my eyes and negated the need for me to wire it into my RT sound system.
Check it out. I have one and can personally vouch for it's quality and sensitivity....Len

I have had the Adaptive for quite a while and it works great. I especially like the helmet speaker that is a wireless option for it.
