    Hi Hal:

I'll be staying in Madison, Florida. It's a ways west of Live Oak just off I-10. I had planned on leaving Monday morning and working my way over to Chiefland where I was gonna visit an old law school buddy. I then was gonna go up to Ft. White and visit an old friend of mine that I've known for ages. Additionally, I believe that R.L. and Mary are presently up there in Fort White.

After that I was gonna take off for Madison and stay at a motel up in that area. John and Carol will be meeting me at the I-10 interchange there at Madison at the MacDonalds there around 8:00 A.M.ish. on Tuesday.

If you want to make some kind of arrangements, please don't hesitate to call. My phone number is 407-444-5533 (cell). You can also email me at cray542464@aol.com. Just let me know Hal.

R.L. I have a fairly decent idea about where you live. As I recall, I head out of Fort White as though I'm headed to Lake City. I will go by the school over on the right hand side. There's an intersection up the road a ways. I turn left there and go down a ways to where your place ultimately is. I believe there is a place that sells or rents tubes right there where I turn left. Anywho, I have your number and will give a call. I can't say for sure what time it will be. I'm just gonna play it by ear. Actually that's why I left Monday was so that I could just let my spyder take me where ever it wanted to.

    Default Cuba arrival

Well we finally arrived in Cuba today at 9:45 pm CT after a 13 hour brutal ryde all day in the rain and having to stop for 2 tornados. Scary as he'll to hear those tornado warning sirens as you are riding through the town.
50 deg. Upon arrival and we are all chilled to the bone.
There ended up to be 7 ryders in our group after picking up our final spyder (Pampchick) in Nashville. She helped guide our leader (spyderryder) and the group through the city which was very helpful.
We are looking forward to some better weather for the next few days.
We are having fun and ryding safe. C-YA RL

Good to hear y'all got there safely; we have been praying for you. The weather doesn't look real promising. Carol is kind of glad we didn't go now, but even with the bykes ailments and all, we still will miss you all.

R.L., it is truly great to hear that ya'll are safe and having fun. Cindy kicked my butt out of the house yesterday, (Wednesday) morning early and told me to take a couple of days off. As ya'll know I didn't get my spyder from the shop until late Tuesday morning.

I took off and rode up to Fort White, via, Chiefland. All is well up in that area. In fact I put 400 miles alone riding that day. Just got home about an hour ago.

Again, it's great to hear that ya'll are well. Enjoy and say hi to all.

Well Chris , you missed out on 500 miles of the most dangerous, brutal and challenging ride you could possibly imagine. We were all very thankful when we arrived in Cuba last night and didn't thaw out until this morning. Dodging tornados is more frightening than dodging bullets in Florida..

Well we have a few pics of that last day going to Cuba. They will show the skies, you really can't see to much rain, but I didn't want to pull the camera out durinng the full rain. Also some of the flooded area's when we got closer to Cuba. Just so you can see all the fun you missed. But now that we are here in Cuba the weather is great. The other pics of Cuba wll be on the thread of pics of Cuba spyderfest. CJ

Mary and I were up early and went to breakfast as the motel 6 did not have anything but donuts and coffee.
Went to the car wash down the street to get most of the mudd off the rear and trailer before haeding to cowtown for the
Lots of spyders there including the 10+ new ones on the showroom floor.
Forrest got him a new 2011 RT Titainium and we met up with doc, wheeler, and blinc.
We went over and visited the vendor area, went to lunch at the Roadhouse on Rt 66, before heading back to the motel to polish the bike and trailer.
At 430 we headed to the Wagon Wheel for the chilling cook off, Bon fire, live music, and backward spyder race before heading back to the motel for the night.
Everyone was friendly and had fun.
There is a provided pancake breakfast in the morning, and then Mary and I are headed for St Louis to visit the Gateway Arch.

    Default Saturday in Cuba

We had a wonderful day today with our mid-morning ryde to Cowtown for some socializing before lunch was served. We made many new spyder friends. The weather was windy, but the temps were comfortable.
There was some drag racing going on on the road in front of the dealership that was exciting and then they organized a 90 mile through the rolling hills where 89 spyders participated. The last leg was on the expressway where Mary and I were able to attain speeds in excess of 85 mph to catch up with the lead riders as we were running road guard duty along with several others.
After a brief stop at the Wagon Wheel motel we were escorted or should I say paraded through town with the assistance of the local police where we stopped at our final destination for dinner and the awards.
There was a band playing on the lawn, and after saying our goodbyes to our new friends, we returned to the motel to pack up.
We will be leaving out at 7am heading back toward Florida in the morning.
We will see you all soon. C-YA RL
