Newest Spyder Fan has arrived early!
Update to below:
Wife is home!
Leah is doing fine. Has had some blood sugar issues - both high and low. They seem to be getting a handle on that.
She also has a bit of bleeding on one side of the brain, which they said is normal in preemies her size. They will be giving her a blood transfusion which may or may not be related to that.
Good news is that a blood vessel that connects to the lungs while in the womb and is supposed to disconnect after birth and close up has officially been ruled closed thanks to some medication... so no surgery will be needed.
---------------------------------------------------
-Lay off notice on Feb 22nd.
-Wife pregnant in April. ( Some sort of connection with all the new free time? )
-Exit interview on April 30th.
-Told in June there was problem in womb with blood flow - would have to deliver early.
-Last Wednesday Sept. 29th, rush wife to ER... then they transferred her to Charlotte hospital...in two weeks earlier than thought.
- 11:36am Weds Oct 6th. Leah Claire is born at 27 weeks 2 days. 1.4 pounds and 11.5 inches.
- It has been one hell of year so far eh?
Wife Terri is recovering from C-section and will see Baby Leah for first time today in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Leah is considered a "Micro-Preemie" as her growth was stunted in the womb, but otherwise has the organs and development of a "normal" 27 week preemie. She is on a ventilator to help her breath, an IV, and feeding tube. They say her vitals and activity are above average for a preemie of her size/week of gestation. She'll have to stay in the NICU for 4 to 8 weeks.
She will definitely have an infant one piece with the spyder logo on it before we bring her home.
Sorry for this picture....But there is no way to take one without the tubes. Hopefully inside of a week or two she'll be free of them!

Spyder Fan? I don't see how she is going to make the Spyder run any cooler than with the stock fan.

And ..... where can I get a set of those giant safety pins?
