It's for your aux power outlet.

Lamont called it right. It is supposed to be tied to the left suspension tower, but not exposed like that. It is powered all the time, and could short in bad weather, and will most certainly corrode. I had my dealer tuck mine back where it belongs. Unfortunately, they did a good job. I wanted to use it to power my new Powerlet outlets, but can't reach it now without removing the trunk. Guess I should be careful what I wish for.

I found this on my RT and want to use it for a new Aux 12v power outlet in the front trunk, but sure looks like I will have to remove the Frunk to get hold of the wires. I need to do this anyway to mount the Stebel airhorn.

I have the shop manual instructions on removing the Front Cargo Module, but sure could use some tips and/or pictures if there are any available.

I was JUST going to write a question, asking where the front Accessory outlet was located on the RT and WHALA!! I could see it on the schematic, but no reference to it anywhere in either manual. You guys reading my mind??!

There is no front accessory outlet up front...just the wiring harness.
