Silver Surfer's Ryde to Somewhere

Details: A nice ryde for Saturday, August 28 starting at West Friendship, MD, then out along MD 144 (Frederick Road), a hook south and then up through Damascus; then up to MD 27 ... and out 550 to Thurmont. We can have brunch/lunch at The Cozy Inn. From there, we can do back roads up through Emmitsburg; then SE on 140 to Taneytown, and zig zag down to Union Bridge, and then New Windsor. From New Windsor, we can take country roads back toward Westminster, or continue southeast toward MD 26 and east out to Eldersburg. From Eldersburg we can decide we're not tired and continue east, cross Liberty Lake to Marriotsville Road, then head south to Woodstock and stop for a cool 'something' at The Woodstock Inn, a nice biker joint. From there, we'll pop out ont Old Fredrick Road and head back to the start point, or folks can peel off in their preferred direction. This is a great ride for those of us somewhat central to Baltimore, but it's also easy for folks in Howard, Carroll and Anne Arundel County.
