    Default 09 SE5 stuck in 1st gear

Yesterday I could not get bike out of 1st gear until I pulled the two main fuse up front and waited a while. Now I notice it take at least 2 to 3 time to go from 1st to into neutral, am I looking at a problem down the road and why did/is it dong this any idea what might be the cause.

Yes did the ground wire and when I had my first services I convince them to change the GPS sensor now I wonder if they really did.

Do you have a different dealer you could take it to? They should be able to tell you if the GPS was really replaced or not. Either way, it sounds like you may need a new one.

Best of luck with getting it fixed quickly.

So is the Spyder stranded on your trailer then?

Sorry bro.... couldn't resist. Hope you get her back on the road soon.

Thanks Firefly, after I pulled the two main fuse it then went into neutral again and is running now but as I said sometime going from 1st to neutral it takes 2 to 3 time hitting the shift button and this never happen before.

I've noticed, occasionally, if I leave my SE5 sitting for a while (several weeks) unused, that shifting from 1st to neutral can take a few tries... then as I ride it for a short time the problem goes away. I also have found that, when this has happened, shifting from 1st to reverse does work and this then allows me to go into neutral immediately from reverse.

I'm betting on the GPS being suspect. It can be very sensitive at times such as if you should happen to rock the spyder while its trying to go into or out of rev., neut., or first. That manuever has caused mine to go into error, not start and or run bad and stall, then error again.

Default coming out of 1st gear

I had the same problem, took my bike to the dealer only to find out that there was a recall on the electronic gear shifter
