    Found it, it was KRB. But he did it for back pressure, not noise.

    Deb - the Hindle probably needs to be repacked. However, they sure didn't make it easy to repack it with the rivets.

    If you decide to repack, there is stainless steel wool/packing available at least on eBay. Bought some last year to repack the SuperTrapps. Works well and lasts a long time!

    There're also ceramic "blankets" available for repacking... but I preferred the stainless.

    Default The stainless scrubber...

    gave it a little back pressure and it also changed the tone of the muffler a weeee bit. The only reason I got rid of it was because it was still to loud for my antique ears. /Ken krb1945

    I hear if you soak your stock muffler in Slim-Fast for a couple of months, it looks just like the Hindle.

    that was funny! I still have my stock too - I refuse to put it back on compared to all the other pipes out there. Plus it is really heavy too.
