    Default Cross Reference Oil Filter?

Does anyone have a cross reference for the oil filter cartridge for the RT.
$18.00 (Can-AM) seems kind of steep, but if there is another source just as good and more readly available, it would be helpfull for those of us who do our own wrenching.
    Thanks C-YA RL

Does the RT and the RS use the same oil filter? I would also like to find a less expensive oil filter for my 2008 Spyder that would be comparable to the the OE.

Yes so far they are the same. The sm5 takes one oil filter, the se5 takes the same filter plus another different different one for the transmission control module. Hiflo makes both of these.

On the homepage look for sponser ads. Bajaron sells the Hiflo filters and crush washers.

You can't beat the service Bajaron gives...his prices are certainly competative and he helps keep our board on the air...!!

I don't quite understand why after spending $20,000 + on a new spyder and $10.00+ per quart for oil why anyone would want to try and go cheap on the oil filter????
I quess everyone needs to save a little cash for that extra chrome! I spend about $85.00 for oil, both filters new crush washes and both "O" rings.
Do the math $29000 for LTD x .3% =$87.00 not to bad. Sorry if I offended anyone just my 2 cents. As long as you do the service I guess the choice is yours to make.

The K&N oil filter part number is KN-564 (the filter for the motor).
