This is very commonplace where I live. Most of the fatalities in these parts begin with "Hey y'all, watch this!".

While gassing up this guy comes up to me .and ask me if that's an electric scooter I told him it WAS electric, but the clock runs on gasoline that's why I'm putting gas the tank

I forgot about that scenario as well. I had someone ask the same thing at Maggie Valley, then another wanted to argue about the pronunciation of Bombardier, as he did not believe the same guy who asked about the conversion was saying it right. He did have the proper french pronunciation, but still couldn't believe it wasn't a conversion kit.

What I liked, he called me sonny! I guess for him I am, turning 60 in Jan. Sam's son told him, that in no way is that Spyder guy 60 years old. Sam said I gotta do something about the grey hair. I told him go blonde and let it grow long.

Hubby and I were just leaving the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona when two guys walked up to us and asked if the spyder can go on the highways? What?!! I still chuckle about it to this day. That and Hubby having to ride in the back on the way back from the Rod Run.

i don't have a answer for "how does it ride" but i tell them i have a lot more fun on this thing than 2 wheelers i used to have. so far, everyone of them seems surprised by that.

We went to the beach at a state park, and the female park ranger at the front gate asked "What is up with that thing? Were you too lazy to get a real motorcycle?". I did not feel like explaining things, so just paid the entrance fee for both Spyders and headed on in.

Sunday was out washing the Spyder, when a guy walked by and said, I see you riding that everyday, you like that thing? I told him the Thing is behind the van and with the small doors, I'm to tall to fit into it. He says I said pointing to the VW Thing, it's too hard for me to fit in it and it's not running now, so I ride the Spyder. He says I thought Now where did I put his sign?

Can you buy this in the US? (Not had this one since the BRP commercials started)

Is this legal to ride in the US? (same as above but give me a break I'm filling up at a gas station having ridden there on public streets with a Tennessee license plate on the back!)

Does it really go 200 mph?

How can you see where you're going? (I have my short windshield blacked out).

Do the front wheels have brakes?

How fast will it go?

Is it hard to steer (not withstanding DPS issues)

What kind of gas mileage does it get?

Does it lean?

Can you do a wheelie?

Will it flip over? (I assume they mean in a turn).

Will it flip over frontwards if you stop too fast?

Some are reasonable, some make you stop and think and some are just funny.

Unfortunately, on my first ride into work this past week I was tooling along and got that cager who drove up next to me to pass...then slowed down to match my speed (you know the ones). Obviously checking out my ride. They really should have been checking out the traffic stopped in front of him because no sooner had they matched my speed I heard the telltale rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....crunch as they backended the car stopped in their lane.

No, I didn't turn around to give them their sign.

Yes, and some try to carry on a conversation too. That's where a full face helmet with a mirrored shield really comes in handy!
