Default GIVI Monokey (Universal) Mounting Plate for Spyder

I am wondering where I can buy the universal mounting plate for the GIVI monokey trunks for a good price. So far the best I can find is $146 and that seems crazy expensive for a mouting plate.

I am thinking about mounting a V46 or a E55. I already have a luggage rack in which to mount the trunk and the GIVI mounting plate.

Once I get the Spyder painted blue the trunk I have now will not match and will be too much of a hassle to get painted. So I am just thinking about getting a new trunk instead.

I have a V46 mounted on a Givi E250 universal adaper plate which sits on a Kewlmetal luggage rack.

I paid $63.99 for the Givi E250 with no sales tax and no shipping from Helmetheadcycle.com.

Default Mounting plate for 2012 Roadster

Can anybody suggest what to use to mount a Givi Topcase N46 on the Spyder? Givi shows SR770 part for 2008-2009 but it is discontinued. Nothing else is listed. Looks like the Universal unit E250 would work but needs something else underneath. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

$126 for the SR 770 mount. Just look for GIVI SR 770 on google and you willcomeupwith something. I got mine with the E55 On my Spyder.

    Default Not happy

Thanks for the lead but Sporttour was one of the dealers I contacted and in fact ordered the SR770 but they came back saying no stock, no ETA, disco'd. Not sure why they still show it on their website (dumb!). Also, the SR770 seems to work on 2008-09. CanAm changed the configuration in 2010 so not sure if SR770 would even work. Really need your ideas, folks.

I recently fitted a sportrack to my 08 Spyder.

I then fitted this same kit to it (I took it off my Silverwing) You can fit a monokey or a monolock Givi base to the steel brackets in the kit. The steel brackets in this kit are made for a Honda Silverwing scooter but I had no difficilty bolting them to my Spyder sportrack top plate.

That looks awesome. Is it stable enough just bolting to the top plate? How is the top plate held in place? is it locked down to the sportrack (sorry about the dumb questions but i don't have a sportrack so not really sure how it works). Really appreciate your help. Thanks.

The sport rack top plate has 2 curved arms on the front which fit under the main body of the sport rack & position it.
The rear of the sport rack is clicked into the main body of the sport rack by pushing down on it.
To remove the top plate you raise the seat & pull on a knob.

It seems secure enough to me & several others have done the same thing. It is as secure as the oem backrest which replaces the sport rack top plate.
