    PROS:
    - Big trunk
    - Futuristic design and styling
    - Great power
    - 3 Wheel "Y" stable stance
    - Comfortable back seat for passenger, stock
    - Accessories are widely available from BRP and others
    - I enjoy that I can still work on it as any other motorcycle (except BUDS)
    - The Spyder has a great following and support system outside the dealer network (ie: Spyderslovers.com Spydertalk.com, etc...)
    - Can-Am from what I can see, stand behind their products when things go wrong.

    CONS:
    - The cost is high
    - Ongoing Dynamic Power Steering issues (Hope to be solved/fixed soon).

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers.

    PROs:

    Wife digs it
    People dig it
    Stable
Safe - stops on a dime
Best ride ever in heavy rain.
Storage - best touring setup up I found
You can still ride on two wheels - in turns.
    Spyderlovers.com and all of you.
    MY DEALER

    Cons:
    Mileage could be better
    No 6th gear (See mileage)
BRP's crappy handling of what are becoming pervasive issues
    The bad dealers.
    WackyDan - Fun, not crazy.
    Charlotte (Matthews), NC
Silver Moon SM5 - V35 and V46 Givis, CHAD, Motolight 35w steering lights, Dash Powerlets, Helibar risers, Garage door opener, Eastern Beaver PC-8, Digital voltmeter, Kewl Metal Intake, Evoluzione Sway Bar, RT Shocks and Juice Box PRO.

Pros (In addition to those mentioned)
    Great visibility.
When I,m on my my line of sight is about 2 feet above the roof of a compact car, about a foot above the roof of a Mid size car and about equal to my Ford Sport Trac!! Have you noticed this feature?
    Cons
Its not above 40 degrees so I can,t ride today.(No Heated Gloves)

    2015 F3 sm6, Custom Dynamics fender lights.

Sea Doo GTI-SE 90 Jet Ski!!

    Pros:
    FUN! Nothing like it.
Allows us gimps and geezers to extend our riding years.
    Attracts attention (mostly favourable).
Price reasonable compared to other 3 wheeled options.
Handles better than other 3 wheeled options.
    Stability.
Other than the electronics, it's easy to work on.

    Cons:
DPS (power steering) PROBLEM WONT GO AWAY! Even when it isn't happenlng it's always at the back of your mind. Solve it, BRP!
Dealers are too few and far between, and if you find a good tech, he's like gold.
    Parts take forever to arrive.
Quality control issues like cracking coolant resevoirs, flimsey rear fenders, leaky airboxes, chaffing hoses, wearing drive splines etc., etc.
Too much electronic junk makes problem diagnosis difficult. You require BUDS, a ouija board, a crystal ball and good luck. Many problems baffle the dealer techs, the BRP gurus, and sometimes even the combined efforts of the Spyderlovers.
Painful ergonomics require expensive aftermarket correction on RS models.
And finally, Spyders are addictive! I enjoy the darn thing so much that I'm going to keep it, even when my good sense tells me to trade it off!

    Default Pros and Cons

    Pros:
opened up the market for people that wouldn't/couldn't ride otherwise (smaller individuals, women that wouldn't ride a two-wheeled bike or couldn't due to size, those with health issues)
    unique and nice looking
you'll meet your neighbors and many strangers (conversation starter)
    fun as heck
less dangerous than a two wheeled bike
tons of parts to individualize it
    storage space is handy
if you've never rode anything, you can do this from day 1
    options of semi-automatic or manual
    reverse
    loud horn
probably more visible than other bikes

    cons:
    expensive to buy
gas mileage, my car gets better gas mileage
    steering issues that are unresolved
so much computerized crap that it's hard to figure the thing out
not set up for a comfortable ride, but you can buy parts to make it so
a good dealer is hard to find
    expensive service
some cheap parts on it that notoriously break
    Everything never changes!

    Pros:
    Ungodly amount of fun
    Everybody loves it
Brings out the kid in me
    Great 2 up machine

    Cons:
My skinny butt won't let me ride for more than an hour or so without stopping (even with the Comfort seat)
    Gas mileage
I just can't ride often enough!

unique and nice looking Well, unique for sure.
you'll meet your neighbors and many strangers (conversation starter)
    fun as heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
less dangerous than a two wheeled bike (easier to balance too)
tons of parts to individualize it (though sometimes it seems it would just be more efficient to duct-tape Gold Bullion bars on it)
    storage space is handy
if you've never rode anything, you can do this from day 1 (except for that one rider who totaled a Spyder in the Sioux City dealership parking lot while doing a BRP Demo Days course)
    options of semi-automatic or manual
    reverse
    loud horn
probably more visible than other bikes

    cons:
expensive to buy but very cost effective when it comes to getting smiles
gas mileage, my car gets better gas mileage Yeah, should be better.
    steering issues that are unresolved
so much computerized crap that it's hard to figure the thing out
not set up for a comfortable ride, but you can buy parts to make it so
a good dealer is hard to find but a treasure when you do
expensive service this is my biggest con - cost of ownership
some cheap parts on it that notoriously break
I really gotta agree with Amanda. The red comments above are mine - don't blame her.

The only Con I can only add: I wish they would have NOT named it a Spyder and had just kept it BRP Roadster. That would have saved us all a lot of graphic and customization silliness. Given the number of spIder graphic themes and design elements on BRP's SpYders, accessories and gear - they probably feel the same way.
Spyder is a legit class of Roadsters.
    Spyder (or Spider)
"Similar to a roadster but originally with less weather protection. The term originated from a small two-seat horse cart with a folding sunshade made of four bows.[citation needed] With its black cloth top and exposed sides for air circulation, the top resembled a spider. Nowadays it simply means a convertible sports car."

If Brusa ever gets theirs to market, it, they will probably regret naming it Spyder too.

    Pros:
Most of what everyone said above
The fact that it is mine
More smiles per mile than anything else I have ever owned.

    Cons:
Our good dealership closed, so I am looking for a new one
I haven't hit any other cons yet, and am hoping not to.
    Very Happy Spyder Ryder!

    Pro:
Nothing better for running errands around town
Holds a bag of groceries in the "trunk"
Quite a bit of aftermarket stuff available to help lighten your wallet
Lots of stuff to ask Santa for
Never fear a gravel road again
My wife will actually ride it (alone!!!)
    Draws crowds everywhere
    Plenty of power

    Cons
Trying not to get run over by gawkers on the freeway
Having to try a bunch of farkles before you find the right ones and can get it dialed in
The ATV frame - jury's still out on that one
No handlebar to hang stuff on
Cost cutting on parts (radiator overflow tank, gas cap, etc)

While BRP hasn't always made me happy with their responses, the responses always came quickly, politely, and complete.

Pro; It's coolest toy I've ever had

Con; It's winter here and can't enjoy it. Too much salt sand residue in roads.

Correct. And I have the RS, not the RT.

No, I have not experienced any steering issues on my 2010 RS, and I hope I do not.

    Cheers and ryde safe!
