The gentleman's name is Lou Conter. He was 20 years old when the Arizona was attacked and one of the 334 survivors of the attack in which 1,117 of the ship crew, sailors and Marines, were killed. He went on to get his pilots wings in late 1942 and flew bombing missions in the South Pacific and was shot down twice.
Artillery lends dignity to what would
    otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
