That’s great! I am sure you can’t wait to take her out for a ride.

So today was the day I detailed the bike and cleaned every spot. It now has a new (used) engine (with 1060 miles), it is PA inspected, has three new tires, license plate installed, Mono Cowl installed, Shad Bags removed (up for sale...)
Again, I have never driven a Spyder.
Once it was detailed and cleaned, I took it for its first ride and WOW!
I was amazed at how easy it was to ride. I need to get position 5 brake linkage. Being 6'4", position 3 is not going to work for me. I like the pegs so no need for floorboards.
The new engine purred like a kitten. Shifted perfectly and performed flawlessly on my 20-mile ride. Once I got on, I could not get off of it.
Pictures tomorrow!

Wonderful! Yep, we've got to see some pictures. Are you absolutely sure you want to sell those Shad bags, Scott? Sounds to me like you're ready to hit the road for days at a time. And we all know nothing beats touring on a bike.

I have a #5 rod I'll donate to your project if you pay actual shipping from Alabama. It was for my 2015 F3. PM me if interested.

Now that you have a running V-Twin we are excited also for you. I don't remember anyone mentioning this earlier, so remember that your twin likes to run higher RPM's and was in fact designed to do that. If you are just cruising around keep the revs above 4,000. In town I am usually in 3rd gear sometimes 2nd. Out on the highway unless I am going above 65mph I am in 4th; I'll only go to 5th for 70 and above. BTW, when running thru the gears, I like to shift around 6000 rpm. Be sure to keep track of your oil level... the -Twins like to use a little between oil changes. When it gets down a little, shifting will get fussy. I am glad to see you perservered and got it running. I hope you have many happy miles.

Yes, for sure. I only got the bike to ride it locally around town.
I will someone else enjoy them.

I don’t believe this is a V-twin.
It has the 1330 Rotax.

A few garage pictures... a bit too cold to move it outside.
After getting it with a blown engine, finding a new engine, taking it to the dealership for repair, new front bucket, new mono cowl, new plugs, new oil, new coolant, new air intake, all new gaskets, new service cover, new battery, new battery tender, quite a few thousand dollars later but not as much as you would think, she runs like a dream. I am still WAY (many thousands) under the value of what they sell for used. GREAT deal for me!
She is a 2015 SE6 Base Model. It's all I need. No touring. Just riding it to work and back on nice days.

It's a bit difficult to discern in your photos but I believe you have the 6-spoke 89 tooth rear sprocket which is the "sporty" F3 configuration.
Preview is your friend.

I believe ALL 2015 F3 models had the big rear sprocket. It is a base model, evidenced by solid painted silver wheels, small round light at front of front fenders, and bright heat shields on secondary muffler. Also should not have cruise - unless later installed. Nice-looking ride!

That would be all North America 2015 F3 models, which presumably yours is. Australia, Brazil, Europe and Japan weren't as fortunate.

It looks great and will definitely be worth the work you put into it. They don't call it miles of smiles for nothing!
I look forward to hopefully crossing paths with you. I ride up in Pa. sometimes in between where you and I live at.
I need to knock off a few points on the Rever pass challenge so I will be going up around the Altoona area within the next couple of weeks.

After riding to work today (twice), it ran beautifully!!!
The shift clunk concerned me a bit until I read the forums and realized that this completely normal.
SO much fun!

I am so happy that this turned out well for you. You now have a very good looking Spyder that runs well. You will be able to enjoy that Syder for a long time and have a great story to tell besides.

That shift clunk gets a lot of attention. All is well though. Shawn Smoak does a great job explaining the transmission. Ride on.

Congratulations on a job well done. Beautiful bike and hope you enjoy it for years to come. Just be careful of getting rid of your bags too quickly, you might decide later that you might want them.

Everyone likes what you did. You are quite talented.
As for the bags, put them on. Even for work you may need a lunch, stop for beer, pick up groceries on the way home etc. Storage is WONderful.

As I understand it - at least in North America - the Touring rear sprocket didn't hit the F3 lineup until 2017. So all 2015 and 2016 models of F3 have the big rear sprocket.
