Default Anyone mounted a Tail Bag on the rear seat? Will it mess with the Nanny?

Has anyone mounted a tail bag on the rear seat? Will it "mess" with the computer/Nanny?

I have a '23 F3T and was planning a short trip and I don't have enough cargo space. I was thinking to add luggage on the back seat but have fears that any extra weight on the back seat (without a passenger) would "confuse" the onboard computer. Any thoughts? THANKS.

I been carrying a fairly large tailbag on the pax seat of the F3-S for about 4 years. Nanny has never done much of anything. I got the pax seat button under the seat blocked so it cannot be depressed. I usually just run normal street mode. Hardly ever switch it to ECO or SPORT mode. All the time I have owned it, the nanny has never really done anything that was apparent to me. I go in some curves a little fast, but never jerk it around or do panic braking, or anything like that. My tailbag might weigh in at 10 or 12 pounds sometimes. It is strapped down to the frame below the seat. Not sure how much more pressure that puts on it.

The one in the picture stays on there almost all the time. Got a couple more that are much bigger and stick out over the grab rails that I use sometimes and strap down with ratchet straps. They have never caused an issue either.

Remember reading something bout some larger bags of horse feed maybe setting off the sensor. Came across this in searching:

Used one on the back of my F3S for a couple years. Just don't bungee it down too firmly.

When the Spyder thinks a passenger is on the back (weight on the seat) it just makes the nanny be a bit more "cautious". It's not going to cause any issues - just takes some of the fun away for an aggressive rider. I have the lid off of a gallon jug of oil sitting over the switch so it can't be depressed. I can strap a bag down as tight as I want, and the bike doesn't know there is any weight there - lets me have all the fun I want.

I have used the First Gear 70-liter bag completely loaded for a two-week trip. I use two bungee cords, cross strapped to LaMonster's Bungee Buttons. I tighten the bag down and it has not had any effect on the nanny. I have done multiple long-haul trips like this and no problems.
