Default I need help identifying a mystery part.

I just returned home from trailering both of my RT Limited bikes to Florida and back. Upon unloading, I discovered a metallic, threaded fastener laying on the trailer floor. I determined it to be stainless steel because it won't hold a magnet, and it does not scratch easily with a blade. Also, the threaded portion accepts a M5 screw.

Any help is appreciated! I'm not even convinced it's from either of my bikes? Maybe a previously undiscovered fastener from the past bounced from the corners?

    Thank you!

Maybe a tightening swivel from a ram ball arm or cup holder clamp, check around for the screw that goes with that swivel nut.

My first guess would be an aftermarket part along the lines of what Knizar has suggested.

Definitely not a factory Spyder part.

Don't ya just love a good mystery? In as many times as I've broken my 21 RTL down, I don't recall ever seeing a fastener like that. Great pics to help us solve it. Looks like it threads onto some kind of rod.

The way it's shaped it goes into a hole and is held in place by its own bracket so it don't spin, I think the guy's above are on to something with an aftermarket holder of some kind. Good luck!!

Maybe a windshield fastener or a helmet visor pivot.
