What needs adjusting to improve Rear seat release? How do I get to it?
I am having trouble getting the rear seat to realease on my 2016 F3L. I can turn the key and it is like nothing happens. If I turn the switch to the on position and then press down, one side releases but not the other side. Is there something that needs to be adjusted, and how do I get to it?
Thanks in advance.

So am I to pull forward, or just up? I have had it off before, and had it off my 2016 F3T many times. Just never had it to stick like this.

Did you by chance spray the actual metal latch coupler ( jaws) with white lithium spray? I also spray the latch bar/ pin too and it seems to help without having to adjust anything. I do it every winter including the hinges themselves. Just a thought before you start tearing the plastic off to get to the adjuster cable.

I definitely will be doing that. But I don't see a way of getting access to it with the seat on. Yes, I will be applying a bit to the frunk of the RT, F3L, and to any of the other areas that tend to be sticking. Right now I just need to get the rear seat off. I will give it another try tomorrow or this weekend. Should be 83-85 degrees all weekend, so I am sure to get some riding in.

The only way that my rear seat will release is by pushing it down as I turn the key. Try that.

I seem to remember a bloke showing online.. somewhere where its tricky but possible to trip the catch with a bit of wire.
Cant remember where. FAQ, Maintenance tips , u-tube.... dunno. Cant catch it.
Remove some panels and go fishing with a bit of bent wire..
He went on to attach cables so you can pull it manually with your hand. Plastic coated wire fishing trace would do it I guess.
+1 on regular lubing the catch.
Only release when pushed down - needs adjustment, should pop.
So Surfs up.
