"Ride the Spyder" (song)
This is my first post, so I wanted to make it a good one! I ordered my my 2022 Sea to Sky in November of 2021, and it was delivered in late August 2022, 8 or 9 months later. I wrote this song shortly after that, as I was waiting for the sale of my business to materialize. I finally achieved that dream and have been retired since April 21st, 2023, so I finally had the time to record it in my home studio.
I am not a professional musician, just a hack who used to play bass in a band that recorded in Hollywood once upon time seeking fame and fortune, finding neither. I was not the songwriter in those days, though. Now, as a successful businessman so many years later I have a home studio and have been trying to learn the craft of songwriting and recording in the digital age. This is one of my better attempts. I only wish I could persuade Roger Daltry to sing the lead!
Here's the link to my Soundcloud account. I hope you enjoy this. I also hope you have some big speakers on which to listen! - John

Thanks for the replies and the likes! I don't know why the link would not work for you, teninospyder. I clicked on the links in this thread and both took me straight to the song. Maybe try another browser or device? Thanks for trying to listen anyway...Here, let me sing it for you!
It’s one thing after another
Day after day
Always putting out fires
Troubles in my way
Stress and aggravation
Are with me every day
I need a space, another place
Where I can go and play
I know exactly what I need…
Ride the Spyder!
I’m here to do the work
God gave to me
And I don’t mind the daily grind
If it has to be
Stress and aggravation
Often visit me
I need some time to clear my mind
With wind therapy
I need a change of scenery
Ride the Spyder!
It’s a great sensation
Riding on three wheels
I’ve got plenty of power
To get that special thrill
Mountains or the highway
From Sea to Sky
I love going down a country road
And I’ll tell you why
I finally found a way to fly
Ride the Spyder!
Ride the Spyder!

I received a request for help from teninospyder (Ray) who was trying to download the song into his Mp3 player, but was having difficulty. The reason is that the link above is just that...a link to the song where it resides on Soundcloud. Well, I want to share this with any Spyder rider who would like to add it to their playlist, so I went to Soundcloud and revised my preferences to enable anyone to download the song from Soundcloud. As I told teninospyder in our PMs, I am not looking to monetize this song. I write and record music for fun and for sharing, not for profit. Unless you happen to be a rep from BRP and realize that this could be a really good marketing tool!
If you want to download the song, click the link to get to the song on Soundcloud, then look for a "Download" button. Enjoy!
