Default Fabricating a heel shifter for my F3 - anything jump out as wrong?

    Hey now Spyderlings!

So, I got a mini welder for Fathers Day, and I've been teaching myself to stick weld.

Managed to do an OK job of cutting and welding some highway pegs to fit my floor-boards.

Considering an attempt at a heel shifter, this is a quick mock-up I made. Anything jump out as inherently wrong?

Downshifting does clear the frame bar.

    TIA
