Default Parking brake light flashing, ok to ride?

    2014 RT LTD SE6
Replaced rear tire and brake pads a couple weeks ago.
Dunno where my head was, didnt properly position the caliper bracket.
Test ride allowed the bracket to pivot and broke the parking brake cable.
Have corrected the bracket position, installed new cable and pulley.
Was able to carefully bend the micro switch arm back into correct position so it works properly..
Parking brake works correctly but the light keeps flashing and it beeps
20 times when i tirn the key off.
Looking at the service manual it says to conmect to BUDS.
Is there a work around or this is dealer only issue?

Is it OK to ride and just ignore the flashing
Or do we tow it to the dealer?

    TIA

It sounds like the flashing is trying to tell you that the Parking Brake is NOT engaged, so if it is & you can't move/push the RT after you've shut it down & while the alarm is beeping away, then I'd think that most likely: either you didn't get that micro-switch back in the correct position; the pulley has rotated too far & it's not triggering the micro-switch at the right time; or maybe you simply need to reset the brake pressure switch.

There are quite a few good descriptions of how to do the brake pressure switch reset, IIRC one very good one from Snowbelt Spyder just recently, so if you are reasonably sure you got the former couple of things mentioned above sorted properly, I'd suggest an Advanced Search on his posts with 'Brake; + Pressure' as keywords.

If it's not any of those more obvious things, then possibly the brake fluid level is a tiny bit low?? Or maybe it's too high?
