    Default APB for Scotty!

I hope Scotty is out there somewhere.

Some of us are more dispensible than others, and I understand that no one is indespensible (except for maybe Lamont).

But I'd really hate to see Scotty go away.

What about it Scotty? Can you give us one more try?

I see he posted on the Oil Catch Can thread yesterday evening. Maybe he's sleeping in today! (or otherwise busy)

Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...

I could link to it, but I won't bother, where he says he's discouraged by all the negativity lately and he's decided to go away (forum wise).

I just think it is sad when so many here enjoy his presence. He has contributed so much here.

But after that, he posted a farewell note (Yellow Spyder Fire thread) basically saying he could no longer participate with those bent on the demise of the Spyder. I have not seen him logged on since then. I hope he takes some time off and is drawn back by the good that this forum does.

I'm hoping he at least sneeks back and reads some of the positive stuff happening. He may have left just a little too soon!

Scotty while I have never met you personally I feel the help that you have given people, including myself, and the knowledge you have bestowed upon people, including myself, and the experience that you share with us all makes me feel like you are my best friend. It is for this reason that it truly saddens me to think that you might not be back here on the forum.

Hopefully you will reconsider and please please please stop thinking about yourself and think about the rest of us who have yet to attain your knowledge and experience. It really is about us !!!

I don't like to see anyone leave a forum like this, and truly hope he will reconsider. He has a lot to offer this community.

and that is why I started this thread. A little birdie told me Scotty is gone for at least awhile.

Whether or not his departure is permanante remains to be seen. I hope it is just a short term loss for all of us here.

A thought-- Scotty has given us much, can we return the favor? Some of the things I've learned from him have saved me money, some of them saved my butt, all of them were worth reading. C'mon back Scotty, we try to do better.

Thanks everyone. I know these posts are more than just patronizing, they are heart felt.

Lamont says Scotty is lurking a bit and I'm glad about that. Just knowing he may be peeking in from time to time is a good sign.

Scotty is a trooper and I'm sure he's weathered worse than this before.

Who knows! He might come back better than ever after a litlle rest.

I don't post much because, not owning a Spyder, I really don't have much to offer. But I lurk a lot and I enjoy Scotty's posts a lot. I expect there are folks who bought Spyders because of Scotty, there are folks still riding Spyders because of Scotty and I know that I still plan to buy one at least in part because of Scotty's knowledgable posts. I certainly hope he decides to come back to the forum.

    Scotty :

We will all be a little less in humor and knowledge if you decide to permanently leave.

I personally will miss your wit, your knowledge and your passion.

Temporarily is ok and understood of late..just circle the field for a while and then come back in .

It's mainly due to this site that I bought my Spyder. Lamont has a wonderful tool here in this site, for a product that is just now starting to take off, and it's members like Scotty who continually share their knowledge that makes this site the premiere destination for Spyder info. I know I've learned more from you all then I could ever hope to on my own.

I truly hope that Scott is still with us, even if he is just taking a break from posting. (Doesn't he have over 4k posts?!?) He deserves a break... But not too long of one, as I for one, am looking forward to more of his insight within the world of the Spyder!
    Happy Former-Spyder owner!
