What I would like to see in this thread is for people who are not having problems to check in and just let us know. I have a feeling there are many more people without issues that are just not posting about it. Perhaps if they chime in as well we can get some sort of perspective on how widespread these issues really are.
If you would be so kind as to post your Spyder's year and model that would be great as well.
No problems here with my 2010 Spyder RT-S

This is the second best thing that I ever bought. My wife was the first.
If you're just stating facts...It isn't bragging...
Any more than those with problems saying so is bashing...

Wife's 2009 RS---16,500 miles with no problems. We had initial computer problems but they were solved in the first two weeks of ownership. I don't consider out of the box stuff to be a problem. Since then, the bike has run well and needed only required servicing.

2010 RT-S PE 0391 -- No Problemo!
Nearing 3K miles and second service. No mechanical issues at all. Took a deer hit back in June. Spyder weight and stability saved my life. Deer took my left-side mirror assy. Replaced good as new. Taking it in for 3-5K service on August 17th ... Adding Elka Stage 1+ shocks, and having them do SE5 clutch recall, even though I've had no problems with it.
And in September ... Spyders in the Smokies!! Whoohoo!

2009 Silver and Black SM5 with 3500 miles and still going strong. No mods except saddlebags. It is my wife's but I do ride it. I am teaching her to do the maintenance on it. She is quite remarkable with this. I bought her a torque wrench so she can do it right. We love the . Can hardly wait till we get the next one for me. Absolutely no problems.

NUTHIN YET
Me and my wife bought 09 GS -5's about a month ago, and we have had no issues yet, we have had the vent hose updates and the ECM updates done. we only have about 600 miles on them so far, taken them back for the first service in week or so. I have made the crankcase breather mods for both bikes, but yet to install, no oil in boxes yet either. I have had the back firing issue with my bike after theTBR was installed, so i had to put on the JBPRO and a K/N filter, and it is running really good now. I keep my eye on this site to keep informed for any issues. This a GREAT SITE, Lamonster, and others are so informative. LOVE ridin this bike and my wife does too. the only problem is tryin to find time to ride!
