After your wisdom regarding Headlight Replacement?
Hello friends. Please share your wisdom regarding replacing an oem 2020 F3-T failed (hi-beam failed only) headlamp. Somewhat disappointed that the bulb has failed with 10k miles at 3 years age. I drive with hi-beams on to make myself as visible as possible w/no driving lights. Rarely drive after dark. I think they are halogen. Probably will replace both lamps while at it. I do also have fog lights.
>>would you suggest halo replacements as came on the vehicle?
>>suggest replacements with LED's? Are LED's reliable, long life; do they need/come with cooing attachments as well? If so do they fit in headlamp area w/o modification? Prefer the brightness and whiteness of LED's.
>>Is headlamp replacement a challenge? Any directions, tutorials you would suggest?
>>Any other "type" replacement headlamp that I should consider??
ps. with 30+ years riding 2 wheelers, Spyder is forever.
Thanks!

I, too, run with my brights on during daylight. I've had many failures since 2015, some with just a few thousand miles. It seems that there is enough vibration to kill a filament-type bulb, including halogens. We have not had a failure since switching to Lamonster LEDs. (We have Lamonster LEDs in two machines and I just installed a Fahren set about 4K miles ago in our 3rd bike.)
And as hard as them dang things are to change, I want something that will last!

Since you don't drive much after dark I'd go with OEM's and change both bulbs. Much less expensive and only tear it apart once until the next time it happens.

The Lamonster lights listed above are much brighter in daylight also. It never hurts to be seen in daylight or darkness.

Installed Lamonster Garage's H4 LED replacements for oem halogen. Install went fine, just slow and tentative. Lamonster video was most valuable. Difference in brightness and color/ whiteness great.
Thanks for the shared advice. Hope they last for a long time!
