    Smile First thread on forum

    Hi all
This is my first time on here
I just traded in my Goldwing Trike for a PE RT - S.
I now have to wait until delivery sometime in the new year.
I cant wait to go touring with my wife Sue.
Ive been following the threads on this site for quite a while now and fell in love with Spyders at first sight.

Will see you all on here again soon.

welcome and on the new RT. You may be the first to move from a GW trike to an RT-S. I think you will be pleased. Looking forward to delivery of my RT-S, too.

    Default Welcome!

Hi Danny, welcome to the wonderful world of the Spyder! welcome
The RT-S looks like an awesome machine. I will probably be looking at trading up to one of those babies in a few years myself.

Having put 2500+ miles on a RT I can say you won't be disappointed and it will be worth the wait.

Welcome to the group! Hope your wait is not too long. You're going into riding season over there.... Do you have something to ride in the interim?
I think the waiting might be easier over here, as we go into winter.

You are going into summer without a set of wheels! Talk about will power!

I just switched from a Goldwing trike (8 yrs on it) to a SE5 myself. I need 3 wheels and wanted something more sporty and did I ever get it! I'm mentally composing a posting about all the changes and will actually post it after about 1K miles. I'm at 600 now. Huge fun factor and lots to learn.

    Default Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard. Nice Honda you have (or used to have) there. I hope you'll love that new Spyder. So I guess the gravity in Australia must be much stronger than here in the U.S. in order to be able to ride upside down and hang on huh? Jerry

    Default Goldwing Trike to Spyder

I previously rode an 04 Goldwing trike, and now have an 09 SE5...with a little tweaking (risers, pegs, windshield) for cruising. While I have not yet been on the RT, I think the Spyder (even pre-RT) is a terrific ride. I happen to ride solo, so the RT is not in my current future plans...just having a blast of my Spyder

Thanks so much for the welcome.
I first test rode the SM5 in 08 and fell in love!!! Test rode again in Jan and Mar this year. I have had my Trike on the market since Feb and had plans to get the SM5 with all the bells and whistles, ie. Corbin seat,Fleetliner luggage, risers,Hindle, windscreen etc.
Lucky for me it didn't sell as the RT is everything one could ask for.

Riding season is all year round down here even in winter. I will unfortunately miss all the Toy Runs this year with no ride but it will be worth the wait.

I am off to the MotoGP at Phillip Island in Victoria next week and they have an RT on display. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

The Trike was an ausome peice of work and I had six great years on it.
