    Default 2019 Rally vs 2022 900

I am in the final stages of getting my first Ryker (and first ever road-legal motorcycle-ish). My local dealer has a 2019 rally with a bit over 2000 miles for the same price (10,500) as a brand new, .4 miles 900 model.

I doubt seriously if I will ever double up (my wife is not a fan of bikes) and I am mainly getting it for work commute and some occasional evening/weekend fun.

I am seriously leaning toward the newest one, but wanted to get some feedback on what others might think.

Will you take it on gravel roads - get the rally

If not get the 22 model. Especially if you have a longer commute you can put factory cruise on the 22 while its not an option on the 19-21 models.

If I understood the title of your post correctly, your asking if you should get a 2019 Rally or a 2022 900 ACE for the same price? You didn't mention taking it off road, so if that is not part of your riding plans, get the 2022. Especially considering the price for a stock 2022 is normally about 13,500.

For the extra $1100 delta from the base 900, the Sport gives you upgraded suspension, Max mount, unique wheels, and cruise control standard.

That's why we went ahead and ordered the Sport.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. Thanks for bringing up the cruise control. I think that is a deal-sealer for me since I would enjoy not having to deal with the throttle constantly if I decide to take longer trips. Regarding the Sport vs the Base, I will probably just stick with the Base 900 since I am so new into street motorcycles. I have tooled around in the parking lot of the dealer several times and the sporty feeling of the Base 900 is certainly enough for me at this time.

Plus I enjoy modifying things, I can't just leave any vehicle stock, so that will give me something to do when I feel the urge to.

This is really almost a no-brainer since even if I put no money down on it (was planning on at least $7,000) the monthly payment will be made with just the gas that I am saving over my current daily driver. LOL. Then I can save my daily for weekends out in the sticks!

If I am not mistaken, the Base 900 that I tested had the ability for sport mode. Or was I mistaken?

The base 900 does not come with cruise, you will have to add that on, I think its like $180 or something plus whatever the dealer charges.

According to the can am website the sport mode comes on the sport not the 900 ace.

I'm in Dallas, and all of the new Rallys at every dealer I talked to, were around $17-$18k.
    $13599 + $2500 build and freight + TT&L. One even added a $500 extra fee to that.

You may end up saving quite a bit if you buy used. I just bought a '21 Rally with less than 1,000 miles for $9,950.

PS - The new ones look awesome. Not sure if they are $7,000 more awesome than the 21'. but awesome nonetheless!
