Rear shock replacement 2018 - any tips?
Does anyone have any tips for replacing the rear shock on my 2018 RTL? We ride 2 up a lot and I got Elias for the front and rear. I got the fronts on but had to take off the frunk to her to the top bolts. I am hoping the rear will not be as much hassle.

Excellent information on installing the rear shock is here https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...=1#post1591228
My experience was similar but I purchased Ikon shocks https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...=1#post1610861
PS get a service manual and follow instructions, especially if you have air suspension!

3/8” extension for your ratcheting wrench, with a wobble feature. Last one I did took a couple of hours. Easy, but lots of steps!

You will have to remove the side panels. But you can get the top bolt from the side of the bike.
The lower one can be done on the ground with the bike jacked up a bit.

I put on an Elka on my 2014 RT. Here is a video that I used for some guidance along with the instructions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O0Xf9eVpTc

Hey thanks I got it done! The YouTube video was helpful. I did not have to take the rear trunk loose but needed to use 1/4 extension on top nut to avoid the assembly on the right side.
