Seems high for a base model, Your quote mentions 2021 in upper left corner, Maybe a type-O. Sure glad I bought in 2020!

Definitely not a good deal. You immediately save on the freight and prep fee. You also save on the tax until you register it in your state. No way would I pay that price.

I'd negotiate the freight and dealer prep.

The freight has the hidden fee (commodity fee) of $750 in US and $1000 in Canada. Some dealers are listing it separate others lump it together They will not lower freight under those 2. My freight for my sled delivered in November had both lumped together like yours. My dealer could not take the $750 off but took the remainder off. Not sure what the inventory tax is? That might be like a tire fee that some municipalities charge. Mine was 1x$12. Definitely get a second quote or wait for the $2000 rebates in March. They didn’t even budge a dollar from MSRP?

You should not be paying dealer tax, set up, or freight, just doc fees and sales tax. I would avoid that dealer, like the plague. You can get exactly that, I did.

Paying sticker price is not good. I would suggest shopping around. Freight and set up are always negotiated off of my deals. PS...even if they start playing the Covid Blues on their violins.

There are some threads on where to buy and how to negotiate (most are Pre-Covid), but they will give you some ideas.

Remember a good deal is the one you sign the paperwork on and drive out the door.

The OUT THE DOOR price is the REAL price. Many things can be done in between that MSRP and the OTD price.

That’s enough to make me think twice. My 2019 F3L was $20700 plus tax OTD.

It’s definitely a sellers market at the moment.

I just bought a 2021 RT Limited. There were only a few available in Southern California and I was quoted MSRP plus anywhere between $2000 and $4000 in Freight dealer fees etc. No local dealer would move off these numbers for a cash and no trade deal. I ended up buying from iMotorsports for MSRP.plus $300 documentation fee minus a $500 rebate from Can Am.

Good to see you can still get the base model RT in the US. They are only selling the Ryker, Ryker Rally, F3-S, F3 Limited, RT Limited and RT S2S out here now. …..and the RT-L only comes in Marsala Red…..you have to buy an S2S if want a different colour.

Excellent posts from everyone, I didn't like that price either. So as suggested I looked elsewhere and bought a 2020 RT for a lot less. IMG_0392.jpg

    A base model starts at $17999.00 https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en...spyder-f3.html

That looks like the price of an over inflated F3-T or a reduced price on an F3 Limited. https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en...spyder-f3.html

Interesting ..... I have heard on this Forum about registration issues with Calif. DMV - about buying NEW Spyders from out-of-state Dealers ..... How did you get around it . .....OR are you planning on registering it ONLY in Vancouver BC ????? Mike

Trying to get a good deal in Houston for anything is like trying to get milk from a bull. You might get something but it ain't going to be milk.

I'm in So Cal and ran into this problem. Berts mega mall had one base F3 left and I negotiated so it matched Imotorsports price. It happened to be their last 21 model.

When I bought my 2021 RT this past summer, I went to two different dealers and neither was coming down from full MSRP other than a BRP $1,000 discount. I bought the only RT on the showroom floor, not thinking that the extra $4,000 for the Limited was worthwhile just to get the rear trunk and heated seats (which I don't like). I essentially paid $24,000 out the door, taxes and fees included as well as a BRP passenger back rest and the rear plate for the backrest to be mounted to. But the key fact was that the dealers were not dealing as I had experienced years ago with any and all motorcycle dealers. I think the increase in interest in all vehicles during this pandemic played a big role in the pricing policy.
