Happily, I have never had the issue. I was 20 years in Alaska, towns and repairs very scarce. I never drive with bad tires. Have never been past the warning bars. Am partly disabled, so I cannot do any fixes. Tow truck or good Samaritin time. 175K Spyder miles.

    .

Carry a plug kit and hope it's a front tire. But AAA is always there.

Good old fashioned string plugs with rubber cement, NEVER had any luck with the rubber plugs. A small air compressor of which many are available. Some like the CO2 cartridges, but once they are empty you are done. I prefer the compressor. All of this is available in small packages and easily carried on a bike. If physically unable to do a repair yourself have the kit onboard anyway. I always stop when I see a bike by the side of the road and ask if they are OK. If one of us has the required items I will gladly patch your tire as will many riders. It's what we riders do for each other.

Me ,too. I acquired a small Slime compressor and a "rope" kit. Don't leave home without them. Hopefully,I will never need them but someone else may and it will be handy.Makes me just a bit more comfortable knowing they are in a bag!!

I carry a plug kit, 12v compressor, and a battery jump pack with my 'road tools' all the time. I've never needed the plugs but others have needed my compressor or jump pack.

I have three bikes and each one has its own plug kit and compressor. That way I can't forget to switch units from bike to bike.

I am a nail magnet! I have plugs, glue, a compressor, tools. I’ve done plugs in NV, TX, AZ, NC, OK, MO(parking lot at Spyderfest!), and others, I’m sure. Nothing to it. The worst one, on the rest area parking lot, where a cattle hauling truck was parked upwind! The odor was beyond magnificent!
99.9% of the time, the plug gets it done. Carry a kit, you are all set!

I have patched or replaced tubes for as long they had tube type tires so I always carry a patch kit, ropes glue and a compressor. Never needed them since we went to tubeless tires, but I have them just in case.

+1 on the plug kit. Leaving work one evening I ran over a bungee cord hook when on my Goldwing, 90 miles from home. The kit and my onboard compressor was a life saver.

    Default Spyder Flat Tire

Only had one flat. I called AAA and they said it would be a 2 hour wait minimum....

Only thing I could do was to wait. It was forever and 2 hours later. It's like they know how long they have till you get a second option. My second option was about 3 hours.

Newbe question - not for a Spyder but Ryker though should not make a difference I guess. What type of onboard compressor are you talking about. Am trying to get a toolkit put together before the Ryker gets delivered in 2022 (have a stepless ratcheting tool (LaMonster), battery tender & will get a plug kit when bike gets delivered). Never thought of using a compressor instead of cartridges. And if you have any other toolkit advise... I gladly hear it.

The one I like best. Also use their plug kit.

I'm a retired Mechanic , and I learned many years ago , no matter what you know , or how many times you have done it before , nobody can repair or fix anything unless they have the right tools & parts . and I have several Cars , Trucks , and 2 Motor Cycles , and each of them has enough Tools and pieces to make a quick fix and most of the things that Might go wrong on the road . and I was so happy when the Tubeless Motor Cycle tires and wheels came out.

This gets excellent reviews and many of my fellow riders use it.
