I came across a couple of product descriptions that indicate Sachs (also Stabilus) is actually an OE supplier so that may be the one BRP uses. Here's a link to the one from Lift Supports. https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/17...with-pm3787-w/, and on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Can-Am-Spyder...s%2C178&sr=8-4.

The strut is not holding up the seat and I have taken it out to measure length and possibly find part number on it.
I could find some info printed on the original strut so I took it with me to a shop that have lots of types of struts.
The only thing preventing me from buying a new one was that there was no info on how many Newtons the original strut was delivering. Does anyone know ?

Temporary 3D fix.
As I have to wait for new strut I powered up my 3D printer again.

Works great, and about as cheep as it gets.
Yep, works for me too, other than mine is a round dowel about 3/4" in diameter. One end slips into hole on left rear. I tacked a rubber bushing on one end to keep it from slipping. Might get around to painting it black one of these days.

Slightly shorter, once the seat starts up, it does it all on its own.

Top case strut:

Did all three recently. That is both seats and the top case on the Asphalt Grey one.

Sounds like my experience right down to the wood prop. The OEM was replaced by the dealer under warranty, the second one failed soon after replacement. I was not gonna waste another day at the dealer and have it fail too. Freaking stick works every time.

I used an aftermarket prop, and would never use anything else, works great!!

Mikey, I've said more than once, I do love my 2020 RTL, but holy cow, you'd think that BRP would wake up and do this one little thing right and not inconvenience the customer. I do understand that BRP is big, way to big even have this on their radar.
