    Default BRP Trailer Control Module

BRP Trailer Control Module that fit 2014 and later RT models. Plug and play. Includes the Connection Module (Isolator/Controller) 710 003 903, 2 ea of the Module Harness (Spyder Harness tap) 710 003 200 and the Extension Harness (Isolator/Controller to Square 4-Pin Socket) 710 003 272.

I purchased them as take-off from a 2014 RT with intent to install on one of our ST or F3 models, but ended up buying a complete hitch kit from our Dealer.

The part numbers are accurate and can be viewed in the photos. Only one Module Harness (Spyder Harness tap, my term not BRP's,) is required for the installation.

$125 shipped in the Lower 48.

Question Where is this module installed?

pauly1 -- I purchased a 2014 RT-S with RT-622 trailer. I've have the RT-S's rear light section apart to install LED turn and backup bulbs. The connectors were inline 5-pin. And the trailer connector on the bottom of the LH trunk is round 9-pin with 4 populated. I don't see anything that looks like your connectors. Is this module and its connections installed under the seat? Thanks.

Yes, the connection is made under the seat. You will have to convert your trailer connector from the round connector to the 4 pin square.

    Thumbs up

YIRYDE -- thanks. I have to go back into rear light section to finish wiring the backup light and I'll look for those 10-pin connectors. They're probably there and I didn't notice them. They are probably key to the VSS's ability to detect the presence of the trailer and compensate accordingly.

Bert: I have not had an RT apart to know where the 10-position connector is located. On my F3-L, it was under the passenger seat, just above the passenger foot rest. On an ST-L, it was behind the wheel well liner above the rear wheel.

The standard connector from BRP used to be the 4-pin square socket. If your trailer has a round connector, I suspect it was changed by someone. I had a Bushtec trailer that use a flat, 6-pin connector: I made an adapter cable to go between the square socket on the bike to the Bushtec connector.

Just located an old SL Forum post that stated early trailers came with a 9-pin connector. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...-2013-RT-Hitch

Also edited original description to include official BRP part names.

Added photos of the 10-position connectors to break into the OEM wire harness as "plug and play".

If it's sold Pauly, you should be able to click on the 'Thread Tools' button just above the middle of your first post in the thread, then click on the 'Mark this thread as SOLD' option that should be towards the bottom of the drop down list. That will not only mark the thread as SOLD, but it'll also CLOSE it too, so that you shouldn't get any 'is this still available' enquiries in the future from readers who've apparently only read the first post!

If you can't do this yourselfusthen please tell us so that something can be done about it, cos as the Original Poster in this thread, you should be able to close it & mark it SOLD.
