Tri-rod Adrenaline, nice but kind of pricey. There are some pretty cool vids of it in action.

Nice ride but when considering a trike, I wanted the additional safety that the two wheels in front provide. Plus, less likely to run the back tires over everything as you ride by...
Enjoy the ride...looks like fun!

Why do you think that H-D is about to go Broke - OLD Technology for OLD people - Sorry to hear that you made such a big mistake.

I'm glad you like your new bike but I find it kind of strange that your first post would be to tell Spyder owners that you bought a Harley trike. Very strange

I am a big fan of Harley-Davidson with well over 500,000 miles of riding over many years. Harley motorcycles are in my blood. However, when I looked at the same possible choice, I decided the Spyder was 1/2 as much money and twice as much fun. With the right modifications the Spyder can be a comfortable touring machine. I have the miles to prove it.
Now I am of mixed blood - 1/2 Harley and 1/2 Spyder. I have over 50,000 miles on my Spyders.
I hope you enjoy your ride. The love of riding a motorcycle is far more important than the choice of which motorcycle or which brand you choose.

We stopped at a HD dealer today looking for a 2 tone dark and light Rootbeer colored Harley. Found out it was a special once in a decade color that HD comes out with. CRAP. I saw a Tourglide painted those colors and made a promise to myself to paint the Spyder the same color scheme.
ANYWAY..there was a TriGlide parked there, painted a nice blue. I was suprised how "cramped" it looked..like the rider and the passenger were crammed close to each other. Plus, the pricetag and the dual wheels on the wrong end convinced me to keep walking. Sharp looking, tho. Quality control has come by leaps and bounds,(thankfully) since the early '70's.
Has anyone else seen a Rootbeer Harley??

Why not setup a NOT spyder bike in the other topics so all can enjoy other rides.

I feel your pain. I sold my Softail because I was bored with it. You'll soon find out that your decision to buy last years technology, will get you last years enjoyment. There's nothing fun about wondering if you've exceeded the limits of your trike when entering a turn.
There's nothing but excitement and thrill when wondering if we've exceeded our limits challenging turns.
For a cookiecutter, your bike does look like all the rest.
Enjoy.

A standard trike and the Spyder are really apples and oranges. Just like my Suzuki M109R and the Spyder are apples and oranges too.
There really isn't anything else out there that is a true "Option" to the Spyder.
Of course if you are just talking transportation with 3 wheels then there are other vehicles that fit this definition. But they are night and day. From cornering to panic stops, I just don't think anyone could honestly compare a standard trike to the Spyder.
If you want to expand to any transportation that lets the wind blow through your hair we could add my M109R and a Corvette convertable to the list of "Available Options".
I am 100% in favor of everyone riding what they like best. I hope your new trike turns out to be exactly what you were looking for.
Still, can't help but think you may be riding along some day and see a Spyder going by and wonder if you make the right choice.

Yay! I'll put the Toy Hauler in there once I get good pics of it all set up on the inside.
Gotta take a pic of my Charger and put it in there.

I think that is a redypS . . . . .
. . . . you should have a blast on it.
My big mental problem with trikes is that they always remind me of the old Ice Cream vendors. Some were bikes, some were motorcycles and had the freezer mounted over the two wheels.
So, whatever you do, do not paint it white! You will have a bunch of ice cream starved oldsters running after you.
But,
It is a great looking ride.
