.
Inspected the rear brake pads. They are good for another year easily. Getting low, with real good lighting helps a lot.

Tonight I took the bodywork off of the front right in prepartion to wiring in my GPS. Tomorrow wire it up and put everything back on.
Next day:
Finished up installing the GPS. That has to be the easiest addition to a motorcycle I have done. So much room under those panels. A convient switched power source as standard on the bike. Add in the custom cable from Lamonster Garage and you are done in a jiffy. The longest part of the job was looking for the little nut I dropped that is used for mounting the Zumo XT to the ball mount.

Changed the engine oil/filter/o-rings on the ‘17 Daytona, and added Show Chrome drain plugs while I was at it. Also, in prep for our upcoming 2-Spyder trip from south Texas to NW Arkansas, I also added a Lamonster IPS Pack Rack, as well as one of their Monster Mounts for accessories above the instrument cluster. Then added a phone mount, twin USB charging socket, a weatherproof 12V cigar-type socket (for powering a plug-in volt meter, and my tire air compressor), and a ball mount for adding a GoPRO Hero 5 - all these behind my Route 129 windshield. Now - to work on the wife’s ‘15 F3-S ... new Vredestein front tires to replace the original 2015 Kenda’s, and an engine oil change.

Yesterday we went for a leisurely Sunday morning ride out around some parks working our way east to the Delaware River. From there we followed the river north for awhile before turning inland and making the loop for home. A beautiful morning for a ride. 3 hours, 106 miles.

Took both Spyders to N. Georgia Saturday to visit Gibbs Gardens. Beautiful place !! Ate lunch at the lunch restaurant in Gibbs Gardens ...uses local produce and the best home made bread ever......
Drive up we trusted Google Maps and it took us in a long round about way along some tiny 2 lane (barely) roads thru farmland and up and down dale. Great fun , went really slow in places 20 mph as everything was blind and very tight curves with 15-20 mph limits posted. Reminded me of roads in Northern England/ Scotland
2024 RT Sea to Sky (back at dealer again due to blank screen issues, loss of BT and WIFI :-( :-( AND the new cluster BRP sent is not linking to the bike properly = BRP fail again)
2023 RT Sea to Sky Shadow Green (guess what? NO errors at all in 9 months of owning!) Such a sweet S2S :-)

Took the '22 F3-S up to the local dealer (C&C Sports, Brighton Michigan) and had the mirror recall taken care of. 20 minutes later, I was on my way home.
Then proceeded to change the oil, filter, and replace the drain plugs with the show chrome ones. Note: Get ramps for next time. Sooo much easier than trying to jack it up with a floor jack and a piece of wood to spread the weight.

Whew…I spent Friday through Sunday installing the following on my new F3 Limited:
- Lamonster belt tensioner
- Lamonster IPS frame caps
- Lamonster RAM mount top cuffs
- Mirror locks
- Garmin Zumo XT GPS power cable
- PedalBox Pro
- Slingmods rear brake light flasher
- Slingmods replacement LED headlight housings with integrated DRL & turn signals
- Slingmods LED foglights with integrated DRL
- Slingmods foglight covers with DRL & turn signals
- #4 brake rod to stretch out my floorboards a little
I previously installed the BRP rider’s backrest and passenger arm rests the first weekend I had the bike.
I’m waiting on my lift to arrive to install my Baja Ron ultimate sway bar and end links. I also have Elka stage 5 shocks on order but I’ll probably have the dealer install those.

@Blueknight911 Dont remember all of them but Reavis Mountain Road was one of them. One more was Lawson Federal Road. Most of the blind turns are listed as 15 mph Some are listed at 20 mph. Straight sections are listed as 30 mph, not that there are many as you are always going up and down following the terrain. Nearly all of the roads are double yellow lines..no passing

I’ve been looking at wrapmyspyder and a few faux carbon fiber items have caught my eye but nothing that I’m ready to pick up yet. It’ll probably be a while before I start looking at changing/adding anything cosmetic. I like the matte mineral blue color and I’m enjoying it while I can.
Anything I add cosmetically will likely be accents rather than any real carbon fiber pieces.

BigPoppa,
OK.
My next farkle will be lights( on the A-Arms).
I also like the mineral blue matte finish on mine. I am going to keep mine as original as I can. I am not going to add anymore carbon fiber( Domed Black) to mine.

No riding today, it started raining after our morning walk. We added a handlebar riser and larger brake pedal to the RTL this afternoon. I still can't get over how much room is under the Tupperware on this bike compared to my Honda.

Just got home from the dealer. Had the oil changed after 700+ miles since I didn’t feel comfortable waiting for the 3000 mile break-in to change it. They also installed my Baja Ron ultimate sway bar and end links. Wow! Folks weren’t kidding when they all said to install a beefier sway bar. I know I only had 700+ miles on my OEM sway bar but the difference is like night and day to me. I no longer need to maintain such a light touch on the bars and rough roads don’t send me darting back and forth across the lane.
I did notice the ride seemed a little rougher but I’m guessing that’s because of the stiffer sway bar. I’m not too concerned though since I should be able to adjust the ride quality to my liking once my Elkas arrive (probably the end of September).
