BRP Connect

Does anyone actually know how the heck BRP Connect works? I have a new 2018 F3t. I've downloaded BRP Connect on my iPhone. I get the app logos on the Spyder's screen. I bought the Genius Map app. It shows an overall route, but that's it. As I ride off, there's nothing showing on the screen that helps to navigate. Then there's the music app. It says "no track selected" and no way to navigate to my playlists. Crazy!
