Got at my dealer, 10% off. Not as great as some, but ok. Good chance to support my dealer.
Love the seat by the way, great finish and looks. Smooth ride!

Mike Iannuzzi at Mosites Motorsports 800-228-5765...Mention spyderlovers.com - $350 with shipping (three weeks ago) Is Mike no longer there?
Or online at www.motorsportssuperstore.com and use FACEBOOK for the discount code for $353 shipped (also 3 weeks ago).
I'm assuming these prices are still valid.

Comfort seat
Got mine from Zack - $360 delivered in about three days. Installation was pretty straight forward but I am having trouble geting the locking post from the original seat to seat properly. It seems to be offset about 1/2 inch. I don't see where there is any place for adjustment. My solution was to put pieces of velcro on the the seat and the frame and put the seat down. Works fine. The seat isn't going to go anywhere with my fat butt on it and when I get off it just stays in place. When I get gas I just lift the seat and the hydraulic pistom holds the seat up.No sweat.
Second problem today. I got the overheat light on the console and stopped to let it cool down. Rode it to the dealer and as long as I was moving it stayed at 4 bars. Each time I hit a red light I shut her down and restarted when the light turned green. The crew at the dealer recognized it at once. The relay for the fan had quit. Less than 5 minutes later I had a new relay installed and was on my way. I am going to buy a couple of spare relays and have them show me how to replace the relay. I have never had a high tech bike before so I am very green on how to repair things. The old Brit singles you could repair at the side of the road and you could at least get home.
Any input on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

It don't get much simpler than unplugging an old relay and plugging in a new one. Just pull it out, like the fuses and push it back in making sure that you have the 5 tabs on the relay lined up with the 5 slots it fits into. Very easy.

The seat is slotted to allow the post to slide fore and aft. Loosen the locknuts, then slide it to where it can catch. Turn post in or out to get correct length to latch properly. Then tighten lock nuts. Mine ended up all the way back. Helps to have the panels off and look under the seat as you check the fit.

That's with panels per Brady. It sounds like a good deal considering that. I should really fix up the house though...

Thats a great price on the seat you guys down there!
My dealer gives me no breaks and he's the only one within 60 miles.
Put the new seat on last nite. Only had to battle with the 111 temp 25% humidity outside, black ant hill just off the carport (I live in a mobile home), AND looking under the seat with the bright light outside while its not so bright under the seat with a pair of X2.00 Costco scratched up reading glasses, WHILE BBQing a tri-tip roast from Costco...love Costco...wished they sold Spyders. That way we can take them back and get a new one if we're not satisfied.
Took me 2 hours with the dinner break. I'll let my mechanic put on the riser and Corbin trunk when it comes in. I'm getting too old (and fat) for this crap!
Tri-tip turned out great BTW and I love the new seat

Tri-tip
Visited SoCal a couple of years ago and had a grand time sampling the wines etc. Tried the Tri-tip for the first time . It was so tough you couldn't stick a fork in the gravy. I am sure there is a way to cook this highly recommended cut of meat so that it is outstanding. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There have been a few reports posted that it won't fit.

When I was at my dealer last week they had two with the new seat and the rear cowl installed.
-
I ask my dealer about the new seat and he said they would not be available until 2010. I told him about people being able to order and he looked at me like I was nuts.

BRP is getting 250 on Aug 18
I had to return my seat due to the tearing that has been posted on other posts. I know for a fact that BRP said they are getting 250 on Aug 18th and as of last friday 153 were already spoken for.
one of those is my replacement..
Hope that helps,
CS
