Licensing a small tag along trailer in WA state
Reading confusing (what's new) info from our DMV.
Anybody on this site know what it takes to register a small used trailer (for example a HF/NorthernTooL type) in WA State ? What kind of documentation is required to be presented? Is a "signed over title" from the previous owner sufficient, like for a car? Is some kind of inspection required? etc. etc., what if it is from out of state?
Appreciate input here. Thanks.

Hi tenino,
Re: Appreciate input here.
My son-in-law lives over in Vancouver. He has a trailer for hauling his 2-wheel motorcycle. I don't think he has it registered.
I'm in Oregon & have a slightly over 4 ft x slightly over 8 ft trailer that I do not have registered.
Check with your DMV & see what is req'd.

Bill of sale from the seller stating price, date and ser. number and purchasers name. In addition, you need the signed-off title. It doesn't hurt to have everything notarized..... Jim

This trailer has never been registered, so there's no title. There is a Certificate of Origin, which is all you will need.
