Default AFTER ACTION RPT - USO RUN

    Part 1.

Well for those of you that missed this first mid-Missouri get together, hope we have something in the future that more can come. This was a great opportunity.

All total 7 spyders met. They were black and silver with one custom paint (he's a policeman!). And we made quite an impressive group of guys, sorry no gals came!

BMWGene brought along one of his H.D. friends and sorry he had took the brunt of our H.D. jokes. Xpeschon broght along his friend from the Cuba, MO dealership COWTOWN USA.... and they are the nicest guys you would ever want to deal with. Irish2themax drove from West Virginia! and his brother came in from Camdenton, MO on his sweet ride H.D. He's an all time member of the "Iron Butt" as he drives to Sturgis from Camdenton, MO every year non-stop..... 1114 miles.

    Part 2.

BMWGene, his H.D. buddy - Lou, and myself stayed up late Fri nite at the hotel recalling war stories..... Gene and Lou, officially retired, had lots of other stories as the both worked together last few years... now they ride alot together.

Satruday morning met the other 5 Spyders at Shoney's in Lebanon, MO. Irish2theMax and his brother first arrived. Xpeshon, Mo Lee, and the Cowtown gang arrived when we did. Impressive looking Spyders. We got to Harley Davidson of Lebanon to register about 10:00 am. Alot of H.D.'s there already, but we made a grand entrance.... All eyes turned to us as we backed-in ( we have reverse!). Plus we got the shade
There were about 160 bikes, based on the USO donation of $1600.00 at $10 per bike. This was my first run, and seeing 160 bikes strung down the road ( about 1.0 mile trail) was awesome. The five towns we passed brought out their police to block traffic and keep us moving. Along the way we saw hundreds of cheering, gawking, people. Xpeschon placed us in the middle of the pack, which was very interesting to see the bystanders looking at the parade of bikes and when the first Spyder came into their view, they raised there hand to point us out.

MP escort through post also.... ( BMWGene and Mo Lee said, " That's the first time I ever was able to speed through post without getting a ticket."

    Part 3.

Well the General gave his speech, they treated us to hotdogs, and dessert, and then we were escorted off post by about 2:30pm The Cowtown gang left and headed east home.

Cowtown, USA off I-44 exit in Cuba or Rolla, Missouri are the guys for Spyder help, needs and just good advice. (They looked at my belt which had the rock come through it, and as Lamonster said... it will probably go another 5000 miles.) They also assured me that if I have to replace this belt, that I don't need to take off my trailer hitch. They had other advice for Spyder's in the group also..... their website is cowtownusa.com or e-mail them at cowtown@fidnet.com . They sold out of Spyders last week and are scrambling to get more from other dealers.... They must be doing something right.... They sure sold me on customer service.

Lucky seven spyders to start, now there are 5 Spyders travelling back to Lake of the Ozarks for the evening. We left Irish2themax at Camdenton. Irish was going home in a few days and spending time with his brother. T

Then there were 4 spyders, all silver, ( the fastest color for sure ) as Captainryder led them up Hwy 5 towards the lake. We all got to try out our passing abilities when I decided to pass a truck and horse trailer.

By the end of the day, there was only 3 Spyders in the motel parking lot. BMWGene, Captainryder, and Mo Lee decided to stay. More war stories and then Sunday as clouds and rain moved in we disperesed.

    Let's do this again!!!!
