    My cat (sorry folks) Sammy likes to do the same when we are preparing food. He also wakes us up every AM to let us know he wants his breakfast NOW. Once we get up, he is at the sink making sure we pour the water and get the cat food ready properly.

    The other cat (sorry folks) Princess just sits on the mat and meows and does a little dance the minute she hears the can being opened.

    Pets are great for just the entertainment factor.
