I recently had to replace my rear pulley (thanks rocks) and it was about a week to order parts. I wasn't in a rush, so that seemed fair to me. Particularly since it was still riding season and the service wait was about 2 - 3 weeks, unless you begged.

Sounds like this is a stock issue to replace a lot of sold and unsold (before they get on the road) bike. Suspect there's a long lead for parts from the manufacturers overseas (I suspect).
