Damage to seat shock molding
2010 Spyder RT
I replaced the seat shock with a Stabilis SG350911 shock. When I opened the seat(a moment later) the attachment molding busted. Any suggestions other than replace the seat?
what is the PSI of the BRP stock shock? The auto store(O’reily’s) wasn’t sure of the Stabalis.

Not sure....
If it broke off in a chunk you could try epoxying it back. Maybe a metal plate to re-inforce with pop rivits or screws.

how about a twig with a rubber cup on each end, that you can use like a prop rod.
...just kidding. Corbin seats are so heavy, that they do use a drop down prop.
Of course with the fuel door, it's not as critical because you're only under there occasionally.
I imagine you will have to fabricate something. Good luck.

under the seat
I guess you are saying the " shock mount that is at the seat location " and not the one that is on the frame , took a quick look at mine , and it looks like you can get a piece of aluminum angle , ( 1x1 x1/8 th thick ) make a couple of cuts in one of the angle legs , bend it too the seat contour ( there is a trough , or recess that runs front to back in the same location as the shock mount location ) when you get it bent as you like it , you can get it welded or maybe J-B weld epoxy , and you can either pop rivet too the seat ------- and while all of this is going on start looking for a nice replacement seat .... ( this angle fix will look pretty home made , and you would only want too put gas in it at night so no one will see )

I feel for you OP.
I have a comfort seat off my 2011 RT I'll part with if you need another seat.
