    Default Broken Frunk Cable

The frunk cable on my 2015 RTL is broken or has came undone and now cant open the frunk. Any ideas on how to get it open?

    Default

You will have to get in there with a long screw driver or similar to push the latch open.

May have to remove the black cover under the hood on the left side too.

You will have to pull up on the hood too to get better access.

The above link may help some?

Default OPENING A STUCK/BROKE FRUNK LATCH

with above …. but you will absolutely have to remove the blk triangle plastic first … you can't see the latch with-it in place ….. it isn't easy to remove but can be done …. I have used a thin narrow piece of steel stock, but a 1/4 dia. dowel would work, at least 18in.length would be best …… you will have to lift up the right corner, it will lift approx. 4in at the point ….. put a piece of wood or stiff foam in-between the body pieces so you don't have to deal with holding it up at the same time as poking the lever …… doing this operation in an area that is out of the sun is best, your flashlite will be brighter inside the frunk area during dim light ….. the release LEVER moves to the left side to open, it may take awhile but it is doable ….good luck …. Then put on a re-lease cable as described in my post connected to the prior mentioned LINK above …… Mike
