    Default F3 passenger seat removal

    Hi All,

I am trying to remove the passenger seat and this thing will not open.

I was holding the key turned and I can see while I am picking the left side of the seat that the pin is not released from the latch

    Any idea will be welcomed.

    Thanks
    Sharon

Sorry for the dumb question, but you are pushing the key in and holding it in while turning to the seat release position, correct?

Lift from the back of the seat when removing it while the key is depressed and turned to the seat position.

Anyone aware of how to access the cable that releases the back seat?

Have you tried this way, before you push and turn the key try this push the back of the seat down with one hand then with the other push and turn the key then while key is turned try lifting the back of the seat. Because you could have something under the seat holding pressure up on the catch not allowing it to release.

Thanks for the idea, just tried it now with no luck. I need to find a way to pull the cable from somewhere, but I can't get to it.

I’m replacing one on my wife’s bike now. It was stuck bad. Turned out to be a fraid cable you can release it without pulling the right side panel but it’s easer if you do Once the panel is off you’ll see the cable. Just pull it up and twist it forward or backward while pulling up on the right side of the seat. It will pop right off. Chances are you have a bad cable like us.

Thanks, I was trying this, I removed the right panel, pushed and pulled the cable but this cover will not come off.

    Any new ideas are welcomed.

    Thanks

    Default Cable

Follow the cable to the switch. Remove cable from switch. Pull on ferrule while holding sheath. Should release seat. Replace cable.
